To quote: When we announced Uncharted 3 we set out to make the multiplayer component as robust and compelling as any other multiplayer game out there.

127w ago - PlayStation: The Official Magazine Editor in Chief Gary Steinman has revealed today that Mortal Kombat PS3 kicks off PTOM's list of biggest 2011 video games.
To quote: We knew it would make the cut. How could it not? After all, Mortal Kombat isn't just destined to be one of the biggest fighting franchises of 2011, but it's one of the best we've played in a long time.
It's fast, it's fun, it's brutal, and it harkens back to the series' gory glory days. The move to a 2D plane, the giddy celebration of everything that's great about the Mortal Kombat franchise, the mix of faithful fan-service with future-looking gameplay upgrades: It's exactly what we at PlayStation: The Official Magazine crave in our heavy hitters.
Then we found out Kratos would be in the game, and that's all it took for Mortal Kombat to kick, punch, impale, and maim its way to the tippy top of our Hugest Games of 2011 issue.
Not only did we get a sneak peek at Kratos' in-game model, but we've got the first-ever screenshots of the God of War in action--along with this unbelievably gorgeous cover. On stands Dec. 21, the January issue of PTOM has our hands-on...

231w ago - Sales were up at Take-Two Interactive, thanks to sales of games like Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club: Los Angeles, but the publisher saw losses also increase to the tune of $15 million.
The company pointed to two other titles, NBA 2K9 and Carnival Games as leaders for the quarter, laying out its fiscal 2009 game plan.
That includes two batches of Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable episodes due by October 31, 2009, one of which has already been announced and dated. The company boasted that more than 3 million games in the Carnival Games series have been shipped.
Take-Two list the PlayStation 3 as its biggest revenue generator on the publishing side, with 35% of the quarterly take. That beats out the Xbox 360, which brought in 28% of its publishing dollars, and the Wii, at 11%.
For the entire fiscal year, Take-Two brought in $1.5375 billion in revenue, with $97.1 million in net revenue. That's much better than the company's 2007, when it raked in $981.8 million, resulting in a loss of over $138 million.
