Assault Android Cactus Unleashes Bullet Hell on PS4 and PS Vita

50°
34w ago - Witch Beam Artist/Programmer Tim Dawson announced today that Assault Android Cactus is set to unleash bullet hell on PS4 and PS Vita!

To quote: Hello PlayStation gamers! I'm thrilled to announce that our action-packed shoot 'em up, Assault Android Cactus, is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita!

For those of you who have never heard of Assault Android Cactus, it's about a team of androids trying to rescue a spaceship by fighting back against a robot uprising. Over a 25-level campaign, the androids will face screens of enemies, brave bullet hell style bosses and environments that switch, shift and transform around them.

These androids are pretty tough, getting knocked down clears their powerups but they can get right back up again. The catch is they run on battery, and when that runs out it's game over!

Putting the onus for action on the player turns typical twin stick pacing on its head - it's not a game you can beat by playing cautiously, the only way to make it out alive is to careen recklessly through the stages and to tame the chaos from within it.

We wanted to create something that captured the spirit of what arcade games meant to us when we were growing up, being tough but fair and the kind of game you could come back to again and again and...

Ratchet & Clank Update: Full Frontal Assault and Deadlocked

50°
62w ago - Sony Producer Greg Phillips has shared a Ratchet & Clank update today dubbed full frontal assault and deadlocked as detailed below.

To quote: As many of you know, when Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault launched for the PS3 system this past November, we announced that the PS Vita version would be coming out later in January 2013 to ensure the best portable Ratchet & Clank experience possible.

Our friends at Tin Giant have been working night and day to bring Insomniac's PS3 game to the PS Vita system and to provide our fans with a great game. While the original delay has helped us make the game better, we still need more time to bring the game up to the standards expected by our fans.

In order to do this, the launch date for Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PS Vita has moved to Spring 2013. We realize that this delay may be disappointing for our fans, but please know that we are doing our best to get the game into your hands as soon as possible.

For those of you who have purchased the PS3 version of the game and are waiting for your PS Vita entitlement, we want to make it up to you as best we can.

On the release date for Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PS Vita, we will be offering Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked for the PS3 system as a...

Team17: Alien Breed Launches PS3 and PS Vita Assault Next Week

50°
62w ago - Team17 Creative Manager Kevin Carthew has announced today that Alien Breed launches a PS3 and PS Vita assault next week.

Below are the details, to quote: Alien Breed, our new survival horror game, is due for release on PS3 and PS Vita on February 12th via PlayStation Store for $9.99, with a 20% launch discount available for PlayStation Plus members!

Last year we celebrated the 21st anniversary of Alien Breed and brought the title to PlayStation Mobile. With the PS3 and PS Vita version we wanted to introduce more cool features, such as the ability for players to team up on either system via cross-platform play.

There is also ad-hoc and online co-op multiplayer for PS Vita, and local and online co-op multiplayer for PS3. We've also got Cross-Platform Continuation Play in the mix too, allowing players to carry on their PS3 save game progress on their PS Vita and vice versa.

Alien Breed is fondly remembered by its fans, especially in the UK where the Special Edition stayed in the "All Formats" charts for over a year. We were really proud of the 2009 version of the game, but a remake of the original game turned out to be a much better fit for the platforms it was appearing on.

The gameplay...
