Videos: Dressed to Kill: Destiny's Weapons and Armor on PS4

29w ago - Sony Social Media Senior Manager Sid Shuman posted up some videos today spotlighting Destiny's weapons and armor on PS4 dubbed Dressed to Kill below.

To quote: Last week, I shared my first PS4 hands-on experiences with Destiny, Bungie's ambitious social shooter.

In today's new video, weapons, armor, and loot are squarely in the crosshairs as lead designer Lars Bakken and community manager David Dague walk us through [Register or Login to view links]'s plans for galactic domination.

Destiny's arsenal is vast and varied: fire-spewing shotguns and head-melting fusion rifles coexist beside traditional pistols and rifles. Weapons span three broad categories: Primary (autorifles and hand cannons), Special (shotguns and sniper rifles), and Heavy (rockets and belt-fed machineguns).

There's plenty of variety within each category, too. The autorifle sub-category includes burst-fire pulse rifles, single-shot carbines, and an array of full-auto assault rifles that prove murderously effective at close range.

212w ago - SCEA Product Marketing Specialist David Bull has made available a Dead Nation trailer video today which spotlights weapon and armor upgrades alongside news of a new PS3 Theme.

To quote: Zombies, zombies everywhere. They're coming from above you and below, they're coming from all sides. So how are you supposed to fend off the increasing hordes as you progress through Dead Nation? Upgrades!

In Dead Nation's action-packed levels, it's crucial to collect as much cash as possible from the undead hordes and trunks of vehicles. Once you find a Weapon Shop, you'll be able to cash in your loot and purchase more ammo and, most importantly, weapon upgrades.

Increasing the power and firing rate for your default Rifle can be the difference between life and (un)death, especially since it's your designated fallback weapon and the only gun with unlimited ammo.

The SMG and Shotgun also benefit enormously from power and firing rate, helping you annihilate dozens of ghouls at a time. You can also upgrade ammo carrying capacity and clip size for most weapons, while power weapons such as the Blade Cannon feature special weapon-specific upgrades.

What's more, you...

245w ago - Today Jeremy Dunham has updated the official blog with details of the incoming MAG PS3 Patch 1.04, and he also shared news of free bonus armor.

To quote: First up is the availability of our pre-order bonus armor!

Originally offered as part of our incentive plan to those who purchased the game prior to its release on January 26, these special "medium improved" armor types and their faction-specific camo (Spyder for Raven, Hazard for SVER, and Bulldog for Valor) are now accessible to any and all MAG players in North America starting today, March 11.

The best part? They're all free! All you have to do is log on to the PlayStation Store after today's update and grab 'em when you see 'em. Once they've been obtained, your new armor can then be found in-game between the medium and heavy armor types when prepping your character in the loadout screen.

Expect it to take up 800ccs of your total capacity. Stay tuned for bonus armor release timing in other regions outside of North America in the near future.

But that's not all. We're also pleased to announce that the latest patch update is coming too! Available starting tomorrow, March 12, at 1am Pacific/ 4am Eastern/ 9am GMT, our new patch tidies up a few technical things while also addressing two bigger...
