4w ago - Following up on the previous announcement, today Sony has released an official PlayStation Vita TV FAQ with many questions answered below.
To quote: Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia just released an extensive FAQ for the PlayStation Vita TV, answering a lot of common, and some not so common questions about the upcoming hardware.
Of course the FAQ is fully in Japanese, as the PS Vita still doesn’t have a western release date, but since many are hungry for more information on the lovely little device that Sony is so cruelly keeping away from our greedy western hands, I included a full translation below.
Q: Do I need the PlayStation Vita to play with the PlayStation Vita TV?
A: You don’t need the PlayStation Vita to play with the PlayStation Vita TV, however there are a few things you do need.
Monitor or TV – HDMI Input required.
Wireless Controller DualShock 3.
Internet connection is necessary to use various kinds of content and video services and some games.
4w ago - Senior Creative Director DCUO Jens Andersen is here with answers to some PS4 fan questions on DC Universe Online for PlayStation 4 below.
To quote: Hello, everyone. My name is Jens Andersen, aka @Spytle, and I'm the Senior Creative Director on DC Universe Online. When PlayStation first put a callout for DCUO PS4 questions on Twitter, I was excited to see them roll in; it was hard to keep myself from answering them right away, but I managed to restrain myself.
Thanks to everyone that submitted questions - it's great to see so much interest in DC Universe Online on PS4. I'm excited to finally start answering them, so without further adieu, let's get started.
@Arkham_InmateJH: What exactly is changing with DC Universe Online? (source)
Jens Andersen: There are a ton of things changing in DCUO right around the time of the PS4 launch - many of these will be available on all platforms.
First of all, players will see the amazing power of PS4 popping off the screen thanks to the art enhancements we made to the PS3 assets. The game looks and runs amazingly smooth - performance has really improved. We're targeting 1080p at 60 frames per second.
43w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill has answered some popular fan questions on the upcoming Dead Space 3 video game for the PS3 console.
Below is the FAQ, as follows: A couple weeks ago, we asked you for Dead Space 3 questions, which we'd forward along to Visceral Games for a future Q&A.
Starting at 12:01AM Pacific time tonight, you'll be able to download the game on PSN in North America, and it will be available at retail tomorrow, so we think now's a good time to revisit that.
You mobilized and responded to our request in full force, so we had plenty to ask about when we tracked down John Calhoun, Associate Producer of Dead Space 3. When we finally caught up with him, we threatened dismemberment politely asked him a few of the questions you had, and he was happy to oblige.
Read on to find out how Visceral kept co-op scary, what Isaac's new locomotive abilities mean for the game, and what kinds of new horrors you'll face when Dead Space 3 launches tomorrow.
72w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has confirmed today that Tales of Xillia is coming to PS3, and has interviewed Hideo Baba of Namco Bandai who addresses many questions on the PlayStation 3 title below.
To quote: This PS3-exclusive RPG is a celebration of sorts for the Tales series of RPGs, which had been around for 15 years at the time of the game's release in Japan.
But rather than just rehash classic elements, the Tales team took some chances, crafting a new battle system and a more grown-up visual style. The result, according to Famitsu, is the best Tales game yet.
Last week, I had a chance to pose some questions (including some of your Twitter queries) to Tales series producer Hideo Baba. Here are his answers:
Jeff Rubenstein, PlayStation Blog: Tales of Graces f came to PS3, but Vesperia didn't hit PS3 in North America. Now Tales of Xillia has been announced for North America. How do you determine which titles in the series get a an English-language conversion?
Hideo Baba, NAMCO BANDAI Studios Inc.: Given the current resources assigned to the Tales of series team, I am always trying to find ways to assign staff members to work on a Western localized...
However, you also had more questions, and we have the answers! Character customisation options, voice chat, Mechromancer, a unique reward for Borderlands 1 players - I've done my best to answer as many of your questions about Borderlands 2 as possible. Read on...
Can we expect better more consistent framerate this time around?...
