According to ShowBizSpy (linked above), Hollywood is trying to persuade Angelina Jolie to again play Lara Croft in a new Tomb Raider movie.

To quote: And, with the release of the eighth game, Tomb Raider: Underworld, due this winter, movie bosses are keen to explore the possibility of Angelina bringing the character back to the big screen.

A source says, "Lara is such a fantastic character and the games lend themselves to movies so well.

"Even though the first two movies were not very well received, there is still a lot of confidence in Lara and Tomb Raider as a franchise.

"The producers would dearly love to get Angelina back in the role and the door is being left open to her. This would be a far darker movie with a lot more emphasis on storyline."

The modern world has a lot to answer for. Society has changed, and with it so has the way in which new products are brought to the public eye. Long gone are the times when a simple radio jingle would send people crazy for some new toothpaste. Now is the time for innovation.

Lets be honest, innovation actually means bombardment. Everywhere we turn, there is someone lurking around the corner, ready to pounce on our eagerness of spending and trying to make a quick buck at our expense. Trying to palm off any goods they possibly can in order to part us from our hard earned cash. Of course, some people are more successful than others.

What makes them so successful? Why are some companies making stacks of cash when they offer products the same quality of many others? That, my friend, is because they have an image. A fashionable brand. A sense of style. If this isn’t the case, then they probably have a million dollar corporation backing their product, making sure ... More »

The Greatest Generation looks forward to its golden years.

Postpone the decorative-coffin-pillow shopping and drop out of your creative-epitaph writing classes; the old PS2 ain't dead. Despite the prognoses of many well-meaning analysts, the little console that helped you ring in the new millennium seven years ago may just make it through 2008. The sharp increase in both gas prices and the speed at which our female pop superstars age may tell us that we're living in a far different world than the year 2000, but one fact remains: Like all good things worth bingeing on, the PS2 is cheap and plentiful.

While the PS2 does lack the "oomph" of the new generation of consoles, when looking at the system's future release list, there's something to be said about the active life of seniors. The groundbreaking, blockbuster games of tomorrow, with their accompanying Internet arguments already going strong, obviously won't grace the meager PS2. However, the past few months... More »
