45w ago - Subatomic Studios Marketing & Strategy Manager Alec Shobin has officially announced that Fieldrunners 2: Acclaimed Tower Defense will be hitting PS Vita this Summer.

To quote: Are you ready to defend the world? Fieldrunners 2, the "king of tower defense," storms onto PS Vita this summer.

Everyone at Subatomic Studios is thrilled about launching Fieldrunners 2 on PS Vita! When we brought the original Fieldrunners to PSP back in 2009, we were completely overwhelmed by how much enthusiasm and support you all showed for our game. You folks are awesome, Sony rocks, and that's why we're bringing the biggest tower defense game ever to PS Vita this summer.

In Fieldrunners 2, our aim was to make everything bigger and better, while still respecting our fans as tower defense connoisseurs. We started by building a new game engine, which allows each and every enemy to carve their own unique path through the battlefield.

Drop a tower in front of them? Their relentless waves wrap right around it. Use bridges and tunnels to create a killer choke point? Enemies get caught up in a huge traffic jam.

How will you ever defend yourself against these legions of baddies? With over 25 devious new towers, those fieldrunners don't...

Acclaimed Indie Adventure Machinarium Coming to PS Vita Next Week

51w ago - Amanita Design Founder Jakub Dvorsky confirmed today that acclaimed indie adventure Machinarium is coming to PS Vita next week.

Below are the details, to quote: We're thrilled to be bringing our acclaimed adventure title Machinarium to PS Vita on 1st May. When the PS3 version was released, we called it the best version of the game.

In it, we added lots of new features - like the ability to zoom in to get a closer look at the scene, magnetic hotspots, 12 Trophies and more.

The PS Vita version makes no compromises. In fact, it's even better! It includes all the enhancements from the PS3 version, but we've added some new features to complement PS Vita's capabilities.

You can now control the game not only with the system's analogue sticks and buttons, but also directly with your fingers on the touch screen and rear touch panel. We've improved the zoom feature too, so it's more convenient to play the game in a portable capacity.

The graphics, music and sounds are presented at full quality, and everything runs smoothly and looks as beautiful as ever on Vita's gorgeous 5″ OLED display. For the best audio experience, put on some nice headphones so you can fully enjoy the award-winning soundtrack by Floex.

We've also integrated PSN...

90w ago - Senior Writer Pawe Miechowski at 11 Bit Studios has posted up a video today announcing that Anomaly: Warzone Earth is taking aim on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system via PSN!

To quote: Hello everyone, Pawe Miechowski from 11 Bit Studios here to tell you about our original strategy game Anomaly: Warzone Earth, which is due on PlayStation Network before the end of summer.

Anomaly is truly... an anomaly. It's a strategy game perfectly suited for console gaming. Let me explain how that works. In the near future, an alien spaceship crashes on Earth and splits into two separate parts.

One falls to Baghdad, while the other lands in Tokyo. A huge dome emerges above each site, separating the cities from the outside world. No one knows what's going on inside, so the domes become known as Anomalies.

You play as the Commander, sent on a mission to investigate what's happened at the Baghdad Anomaly. Once inside, you discover alien war machines destroying everything in their path.

Essentially, Anomaly: Warzone Earth is a "tower offense" game, tipping the tower defense genre on its...
