DC Universe Online Free Update Brings Two-Face, Bat Cave Raids

50°
195w ago - Sony Online Entertainment Senior Producer Wes Yanagi has posted details on the free DC Universe Online PS3 update today, which brings Two-Face and Bat Cave Raids.

To quote: To combat those lingering post-time-change blues, DC Universe Online is adding another free batch of new downloadable content that will introduce you to former Gotham City District Attorney-turned crime boss Harvey Dent (aka "Two-Face") in the sinister new installment.

Follow Dent into The Penguin's hideout to take out his smuggling operation... but you will never know if he is going to help or hinder your gameplay.

Also included in this update is the final part to the Batcave raid where you level 30 players (if you aren't at level 30 yet, hurry up and get there already) will be face-to-face with the caped crusader.

You'll even catch a guest appearance from sneaky trickster Mister Mxyzptlk! We're bringing content for players of all types, so if you're a solo player, duo champion, or veteran raider get ready to jump online!

The free "Heads or Tales" content update for DCUO includes:

Two-Face

• Two-Face Instance: Following Harvey Dent/Two-Face on a mission into The Penguin's hideout, players will aim to take out his latest smuggling operation....

Sony Aids Indie PSP Devs with Faster QA and Lower Price Points

285w ago - The price cut on the PSP devkit has already opened PSP development to more interested parties, but apparently that's not Sony's only approach to bringing in more devs to the handheld.

According to Develop (linked above), Sony is also cutting down on the time it takes for a game to pass the quality assurance process.

They're also abolishing concept approval and, perhaps best of all, they'll be instituting very low price points for new games.

As part of their bid to further propagate digital distribution especially for the PSP and the new PSP Go, Sony has already signed on over 50 developers working on new games and apps. More are also reportedly on the verge of joining.

One of the new devs working on content for the PSP platform is iPhone stalwart Subatomic Studios, who is currently preparing a PSP-exclusive version of its Fieldrunners tower defense game. India's Gameshastra and PlayStation Network vets Creat have also signed on.

To quote: "We're making games that are just 20MB each, that's less than a minute to download - instant gratification, snackable content," said Subatomic's Ash Monif. "This is an opportunity for the premier indie developers - and I hope we represent that group - to come in and offer content that will fit the PSP."
