109w ago - Telltale Games Community Manager Alan Johnson has posted up a video today of PSN's upcoming mystery title Puzzle Agent.
To quote: Telltale Games is bringing the popular and critically acclaimed Puzzle Agent to PlayStation Network on April 19th!
You play as Nelson Tethers, the ONLY agent in the US Department of Puzzle Research. Tethers is sent on a rare field assignment to Scoggins, Minnesota to investigate what happened to the factory that supplies the White House with all its erasers.
To get to the bottom of this twisted mystery, players will have to overcome plenty of warped brain-bending conundrums.
193w ago - Although hardly any information on the upcoming AGENT videogame for PlayStation 3 is available from the official Web site, Rockstar Games will apparently release Agent in 2010.
Here is what their development team recently posted, to quote:
"We appreciate the enthusiasm of PlayStation 3 owners and believe us, we understand where you're coming from.
That's why we are working hard on a lineup of PlayStation 3 releases for 2010 that we know you will be very excited to play - including Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, and the PlayStation 3 exclusive AGENT, which is a brand-new title from Rockstar North, the creators of the Grand Theft Auto series.
Plus there's more yet to be announced... Thanks again for your patience and please stay with us!"
Finally, when asked for more Agent details on their news page, Rockstar simply replied:
"Thank you - it's not likely we will have any more news this year, but the game is shaping up to be something truly spectacular."
204w ago - During in interview with Eurogamer, Take-Two's Ben Feder discussed some minor details about Rockstar's upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive: Agent.
During Sony's press conference the only announcement made was that the game was, indeed, going to be made with the Sony system in mind, but it was mysteriously without images or the slightest of details.
To quote: Ben said that the series is its own franchise entirely, which is something that led to the decision to make it a platform exclusive. They wanted to make sure it got users' attention - a promise that an exclusive title certainly carries. When asked about the initial comparisons to Grand Theft Auto, his answer was a bit more cryptic.
"It's a completely different storyline, there is completely different character development. It's a game about espionage, set in the 1970s. GTA is obviously more about an urban experience, a typically rags to riches experience. Very, very different storylines, very different character development. It's going to be very fresh for gamers."
It sounds like he's dodging the question a bit, and saying that the game has a different story than Grand Theft Auto isn't in any way saying that the game will play differently....
206w ago - President of Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar's parent company) Ben Feder has explained why Agent (announced at Sony's E3 2009 press conference) is a PlayStation 3 exclusive title.
According to RockStar, at this phase when you are trying to launch a new franchise, exclusivity can help you launch it. Through going exclusive, you also get more first party support.
To quote: "At this phase in the cycle, when you're trying to launch a new franchise, exclusivity can really help you launch the franchise.
It can give you the kind of platform that you need to start exclusive, start in the right kind of way with the right kind of partner. Exclusivity does work", Feder went on.
Agent is being overseen by the Housers, founding fathers of Rockstar. Development is being handled by Rockstar North, the studio behind GTA IV.
Going on to big up the PS3 Feder, apparently unphased by the console's lagging sales, said, "I have a lot of confidence in Sony. I have a lot of confidence in their ability to lead the market, as they always have.
Their console is a terrific platform to be developing for, and Agent is a great testament as to our belief in what that platform...
