83w ago - Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli has shared another video in the Uncharted 3 PS3 multiplayer Advanced Tips series alongside details on new maps available today.
To quote: We are hitting the start of week three for the Subway Taste For Adventure UNCHARTED 3 multiplayer experience and we're noticing that some of you are getting pretty good.
But the best player isn't the best for long. We think it's a good time to dive into some of the more advanced multiplayer gameplay mechanics and strategies to help you step up your game.
Sure, you can lob a grenade out there, but have you mastered the aim throw yet? How many BBQ medals have you achieved? Did you know that the Idol can be used as a melee weapon?
Game Designer Robert Cogburn sat down with the PlayStation.Blog to drop some high-level knowledge regarding UNCHARTED 3's multiplayer experience. Check out our new video above for some lessons!
Starting today, we're adding a revamped map - Facility - to the experience so you can practice your new skills on this fresh level. If you were lucky enough to attend New York Comic Con, you may have already gotten a taste of this map and...
101w ago - Today an anonymous author has released an Easy Spoof TCL Mod 6.66 to 9.90 for use with PS3 MFW Builder and also a PS3 Advanced Mode Patch for PlayStation 3 Custom Firmware users on Rebug PS3 CFW v3.55.1 followed by a PS3 Firmware v3.66 Spoof Plug-In for MFW Builder via French site PS3-Addict.
Those using the PS3 Easy Spoof TCL Mod 6.66 to 9.90 should be aware that it will only spoof the PS3 Firmware version number, meaning while it will prevent the PS3 from updating it won't allow PSN access or running newer PlayStation 3 titles and the risk of not being able to downgrade or update your console again is always present when using such applications.

234w ago - The new version of YDL was released. I think the most important new feature is that you can now use the memory of the RSX-GPU as a swap partition.
You should notice a great increase of speed while using linux.
The free version can be downloaded in four weeks. For now only owners of YDL.net Enhanced Accounts can access YDL 6.1.
Press Release: AUSTIN, Texas - 19 November 2008 - From the show floor of SuperComputing 2008, booth #1915, Fixstars today released Yellow Dog Linux v6.1 for Apple G4/G5, Sony PLAYSTATION3, PowerStation, and IBM Power Systems. Built upon the CentOS foundation, a derivative of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YDL v6.1 offers several end-user and development tool improvements over the previous v6.0.
"This marks the final release of Yellow Dog Linux by Terra Soft and the first by Fixstars," states Owen Stampflee, Fixstars Solutions' Director of Engineering, "In my five years with Terra Soft we have made incremental improvements with each release, always pressing for a higher quality end user experience.
In some updates, we focus on the desktop; in others the development environment. With version 6.1 we have accomplished a unique blend of both. I am personally proud of what we offer with this version of Yellow Dog, and believe our users will enjoy it as...
243w ago - According to issa3032: Install the optional Firmware 2.43 update, and the system actually seems more resposive. Anyway, I booted up Gran Turismo 5 and was browsing around the options when I noticed something interesting: When you uncheck the "Disable Advanced Downloading" it asks you to "accept" or "decline".
In the past you used to get a warning message saying this feature would be enabled in a future firmware update. Well this message no longer pops up. I guess now we know what the firmware update did in addition to speeding up the XMB.
Note to others: "Unlike previous updates, firmware v2.43 is specific to the Japan region, and only PS3 users there will be required to install the update."
