93w ago - Insomniac Games Senior Community Manager James Stevenson has posted up a video today detailing both the passive and active abilities in Resistance 3 Multiplayer for the PS3 entertainment system.

To quote: Hopefully you caught the news yesterday that Resistance 3 has gone gold! We also debuted our new story-centric campaign trailer.

You may also know that the Resistance 3 Multiplayer Beta early access has begun for owners of specially marked copies of SOCOM 4. We're still very much in beta mode, with regards to fixes (especially for matchmaking to address the freezes and disconnects), so please keep reporting what you see.

We hope to have a patch soon that will address many of these issues, but in the meantime, thanks for bearing with us.

233w ago - It has been confirmed that the New Xbox Experience increases the active downloads queue from six entries to a massive fourty.

To quote: Just a quick tidbit for you NXE-loving guys and gals out there. In my eternal thirst to find out more technical information about the NXE, I stumbled across a piece of info you might be interested in. This comes from one of the "Voices" Xbox.com pages:

"Speaking of downloads, the Active Downloads queue has been expanded from six entries to a whopping 40, making it much easier to fill your hard drive with lots of great stuff."

Most of the article rehashes the normally touted features, but I thought y'all might be interested in something a little more fresh.

255w ago - The one and only Cliff Bleszinski popped up on the NeoGAF Forums where the latest video of Gears of War 2 was being discussed, to clarify the Longshot sniper's abilities.

Responding to a remark claiming that "active downs with the Longshot are still existent in Gears 2", Cliff denied the claim, stating that the Longshot will not have insta-down abilities in Gears 2.

Honestly, we're glad. An active reload with Gears' Longshot sniper was a downing machine in multiplayer that was way too easy to pull off.

Though, this begs another question, what damage will an actively reloaded sniper cause in Gears 2? Hmmm...
