As many of us know by now after installation of Bioshock for PC you are required to activate it online by connection to 2K's servers. Moonlight has released the first PSP custom IPL, which is an extension of the firmware 1.5 IPL providing numerous features.

Feature for user:

- It bypasses ta-082+ brick, so you can have a ta-082+ without any key patched running 1.50 kernel based firmwares.

Feature for programmer:

- It dumps 0xbfc00000, the psp boot code prior to ipl, to the address 0x883e0000 (which is not touched by 1.50 kernel). To get the boot code in a 1.50 original firmware, just run kdumper, and extract 0x3e0000-0x3effff from the kmem.bin file -> that's the psp boot code. If you are in a cfw, you will have to execute the kdumper as a recovery or autoboot, because the 3.XX kernel overwrites the 0x883e0000 memory.

Note that this ipl is flashed to the nand, not written to the ms.

THE controversial 2012 London Olympics logo was rocked by another blow last night — after it was ruled too dangerous to view on-screen.

An animated version of the symbol used on TV and the internet had to be dropped because it could trigger fits in thousands of people.

The £400,000 logo, a graffiti-style spelling of 2012 in shades of pink, blue, green and orange, was branded “hideous” when it was launched on Monday.

And Olympics bosses were left squirming with embarrassment after an epilepsy group reported 12 cases of people collapsing through looking at it.

Epilepsy Action warned that 23,000 mainly young people in the UK were at risk from the TV and internet version. ...

Weltall has updated to v0.1.9 Rev C today! v0.1.9 REV.C changes:

Download: PSP CWCheat v0.1.9

- [ALL] now the text reader supports up to 128 text files per id: Press L/R to go to the previous/next text file. The name is similar to how the cheat.db name works: The first file is named with just the id.txt (just like now), all the others are the id + the number + .txt

eg: with SLUS_12345 as id. The first file is SLUS_12345.txt the next SLUS_123451.txt,SLUS_123452.txt~SLUS_12345127.txt

- [GAME] Improved disc id detection runtimes and by putting a new check for the mount status of isofs. This improved cwcheat startup speed (were applyable) and compatibility. This should also reduce the risk of the cheat list being corrupted.

- [ALL] Added detection of vsh mode. So now vsh has it's own id different from the one for homebrews. Cheat... More »

The kids come back to the enchanted world in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and it turns out more than a thousand years has passed and everything has gone to hell -- the Telmarine are in control and the magical dwarfs and animals have been driven into hiding.

I don't think he's going to block this one. When the folks in the Disney Interactive booth picked up the controller to give us a once through in this land of make believe at the German Games Convention, we got to see one of the battles for control that raged in the children's absence and how the three-character co-op game will perform.

As magical creatures waged war against a human invasion outside a castle, the majority of our demo came from the perspective of a dwarf and a minotaur as they ran through the battle doing their part to get a W in their column.

The build was admittedly early but already had some impressive mechanics -- such as the massive amounts of brawlers on the ... More »

There are two versions of Sony's upcoming real driving simulator Gran Turismo 5 Prologue here at the 2007 Leipzig Games Convention, though it's probably fairer to call them slightly different aspects of the same game. In fact, if you want to be entirely accurate, you could say that there are actually three versions of the Gran Turismo series, if you count the downloadable Gran Turismo demo that's currently available on the PlayStation Network. Nonetheless, as we were roaming the massive Sony space in Hall 3 of the Leipziger Messe in search of all things Gran Turismo, our focus was on the two versions of Prologue.

The first version featured eight racing cabinets set up to show off the game in the way a game like this is supposed to be played: with racing seats (which proved to be nearly too narrow for our frame), a full HD screen, and a Logitech wheel-and-pedal setup. The featured track was Japan's Suzuka circuit, and the game presented us with a roster of 22 cars to choos... More »

Sony's official confirmation of LocoRoco PS3 came quietly as part of a post E3 Japanese product announcement event. Today, thanks to the latest issue of Famitsu, we have a few new details on the game, which is officially known in Japan as Oiedeyo LocoRoco!! Boo Boo Cocoreccho!

Some rumors have popped up suggesting that this PS3 version of LocoRoco is actually just a fancy wallpaper program. This doesn't seem to be the case, as the game is listed in Famitsu as an action title, complete with online rankings.

There are some major differences from the PSP version. You take control this time of a butterfly, or perhaps a group of butterfiles, known as Cocoreccho. By pressing the circle button, you can make the Cocoreccho shout boo boo. This makes the sleeping LocoRoco in your area wake up and come to you. Your goal is to lead the LocoRoco to the stage's goal.

The game's title, incidentally, tells the whole story. Boo Boo is what Cocoreccho say to... More »
