PlayStation TV: Nearly 700 Games to Play Starting October 14th

4w ago - Sony VP of Platforms Marketing John Koller announced today that nearly 700 games to play are coming to PlayStation TV starting October 14th, 2014.

Below are the details, to quote: With [Register or Login to view links]'s launch right around the corner on October 14, I'm pleased to confirm that nearly 700 games will be available in the U.S. and Canada to play on PS TV on Day One, including established, popular franchises like Killzone: Mercenary, cult hits like Persona 4 Golden, and classics like Metal Gear Solid.

In addition, I'm pleased to announce that Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom from Little Orbit will also be available in November for PS TV (as well as PS Vita).

Our library will continue to expand, with other fan favorites like Minecraft and more. We're proud to bring such a broad array of content from multiple PlayStation platforms to PS TV, a small console at a great value.

Home Hitting PSP, PSPGo to Have 700 Launch Games & Converter

265w ago - Following Kaz Hirai's keynote address at Tokyo Game Show 2009, Sony revealed that the PSP will be getting a version of PlayStation Home dubbed PlayStation Room.

This newer portable version will let you have blogs, photo albums, and some social networking features like chat, mini-games, and real-time communication.

The upcoming PSPGo will also have 700 launch games when it arrives on October 1st in North America, to quote from Examiner.com (linked above):

"The PSPGo will have a very large library of games available for purchase. Offering 700 downloadable titles when it hits America, the PSPGo will launch with the biggest library of games any system has ever had - meanwhile, Japan will have 400 games available."

Finally, according to [Register or Login to view links] the PSPGo will be getting a converter (pictured below) since it's not compatible with current PSP accessories such as the PSP camera.

To quote: "With the new Converter Cable Adaptor, PSPgo users will be able to utilize the existing peripherals for PSP, Sony announced at Tokyo Game Show today. Peripherals like the 1Seg Tuner and GPS Receiver will be able to fit in the Go's proprietary Multi use connector."
