202w ago - While it's already been confirmed that the Killzone 3 PS3 Beta won't include PlayStation Move nor 3D support, today several videogame sites including Meodia.com (linked above) and [Register or Login to view links] have received invites and report that testers can expect a 1.3GB download.

To quote: "Several people have confirmed receiving an invitation to a private beta which begins tomorrow, you can find a excerpt from one of these emails a tester has posted online.

Dear Beta Tester,

The follow-up to one of the most critically acclaimed first-person shooters of 2009, Killzone 3, picks up where Killzone 2 left off delivering new weapons and enemies, larger set pieces and environments, more varied missions and a whole new level of intense cinematic action.

In the Beta you will get a taste of the multiplayer mode, including the all-new Operations game type, party system and jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles.

The aim of the Beta Trial is threefold:

• To collect your feedback

Final Fantasy XIII Has Optional 18.3GB XBox 360 HDD Installation

234w ago - According to [Register or Login to view links], Final Fantasy XIII is confirmed to have an optional 18.3GB XBox 360 HDD installation for those curious.

To quote: "Just in case you've been planning to get Final Fantasy XIII on the 360, here's some info that will help you with playing the game on the console - the size of each discs' optional install.

The three of them sum up into 18.3GB, as you can see. I'd say the option of installing your games is one of the finest features the 360 offers, cutting load times and reducing disc scratches to a zero, since the DVD drive doesn't spin at all if the game is installed... and now that you know how much space each disc takes up, manage your HDD space accordingly."

Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty uses 3.2GB not 2.3GB HDD Space

314w ago - It looks as if PS3 owners better clear some more of their hard drives as Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty is actually 3.2GB and not 2.3GB as gaming Web sites previously reported.

To quote: As we reported yesterday, Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty hits PSN this Thursday with a Blu-ray release following in September. Look out for our review later in the week.

Better start making room on your hard drive PS3 gamers, Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty is actually 3.2GB and not 2.3GB as previously reported.

We had a bit of a shock when we went to download our review copy earlier today - the 3181MB download weighs in at around 30% larger than we had been expecting.

Just to clarify, we've downloaded the European version. It's possible that the US version may still weigh in at 2.3GB because of the increased language support needed for the EU release, but we've not yet had any official confirmation.
