Today Activision is reporting that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 made $550 million in the first five days of the videogame's release.

It appears even in this challenging economic climate, Modern Warfare 2 is indeed a top seller setting a new entertainment industry record.

Today Microsoft's Major Nelson has announced that they will be offering an additional $50 rebate on the XBox 360 Elite until October 5, 2009.

This comes just weeks after the price drop of the XBox 360 Elite from $399 to $299, meaning after rebate it's just $249- not bad at all!

To follow-up on the previous rumor, today a leaked Toys R Us ad is pointing at a $50 Nintendo Wii price drop to $199 this month.

Today a Best Buy listing for PlayStation Network Cards appears to reveal that $10 PSN Cards are coming soon to PlayStation 3 and PSP owners.

No word yet on whether they will also hit Europe, however, US buyers can currently add them to their carts for $10 each.

According to Belgium site RTLinfo, Sony has been briefing retailers of an imminent €100 (£85) price cut on the 80GB PS3.

The rumors follow the news that Sony is informing Japanese retailers that the 80GB PS3 model will not be shipping after August 8th, while Sony has cut the cost of its 160GB PlayStation 3 bundle from Amazon by $50.
