According to Spanish Web site PSNow, Capcom will soon release a selection of Street Fighter gear.

When confirmed, players will be able to dress up as fan favorite brawlers Ryu, Chun Li, Guile, and Zangief.

To quote: Why not? It seems the best way to promote your game today is to dress up Media Molecule’s lead character as that of your own.

If you’re a fan of the Capcom fighting series, you will apparently be able to pick up the character costumes shown above individually and as a package deal.

No word on price or release date just yet. Sit tight.

Earlier this week, Famitsu Weekly confirmed that a demo of Capcom's highly anticipated Resident Evil 5 would be coming to the Japanese XBox Live Marketplace on December 5.

Confusion arose as to whether the demo would be limited to Japan and only the XBox Live Marketplace.

Capcom, however, has confirmed that the demo will be appearing on both the PSN and XBox Live Marketplace, and in all major regions as well.

The demo, however, will not be launching simultaneously worldwide, and as of right now, there is no word on the western release date.

Paste Magazine has created a 'Top 10 NES Games of All Time' list today.

To quote: The video games on this list kept me company through many an elementary-school sleepover at friends' houses, provided endless fodder for recess playground conversation and even inspired a few short stories from yours truly (each plot revolving around the fantasy of getting sucked inside a video game).

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, I dedicate this list and to Shigeru Miyamoto and all the other folks at Nintendo who made all that fun possible... oh, and of course my beloved aunt Jean who sent me and my siblings our first NES console.

10. Gradius [Konami] - 1986
Collecting the power-up pellets and pimping out your little spaceship provided the irresistible hook. Once you got three rows of lasers firing, your robotic foes stood little chance.

9. Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse [Konami] - 1990
The Belmont... More »

Capcom's John Diamonon shared the following today via PS Blog:

Joe Esposito once eloquently proclaimed that “History repeats itself” and it’s an honor for me to announce that Street Fighter returns today on the PlayStation Network. On a personal note, it’s been a dream of mine to work on this franchise. I remember going to the local 7-11 and spending hours trying to pull off an invisible throw or handcuff glitch.

I remember sharing theories with my friends that it was possible to throw that rock in the Chun-Li stage, pull out Guile’s gun, control Ryu’s red fireballs or defeat the mysterious Sheng Long. Street Fighter was a cultural phenomenon not seen since the days of Pac Man. Here we are, almost 20 years later, and this franchise is as relevant as ever.

Here’s the final HD Remix video for your viewing pleasure.

Enough of my reminiscing. I’m here to talk about the next... More »

A couple of weeks ago, we got the opportunity to visit Milestone and spend some quality time with the latest entry in Capcom’s survival horror series - Resident Evil.

The build we played was the same one that was presented at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The demo featured two short levels and also gave us the first glimpse into the newly introduced co-op mode.

As you may know, one of the biggest changes in Resident Evil 5 is the inclusion of co-op. For the first time in the Resident Evil series (Outbreak doesn’t count), you can play through the campaign co-operatively. The second character introduced is Sheva.

The campaign can be played either online, split-screen or via system link. In case you don’t have anyone to play with, the game will take control of the second character. The friendly AI that controls Sheva does a wonderful job; she’ll constantly heal you, provide you with different items (ammo included) and most importantly, she... More »

Courtesy of RelentlessRolento via YouTube, here is a video that even the Capcom Blog has praised today.

To quote: I stumbled onto this awesome creation right here in our own creative forums!

RelentlessRolento is the master artist and level designer. He's designed it in a way that allows player to control Ryu and Ken by jumping on the buttons. They do all sorts of awesome moves!

You can find and try out this level by putting in his PSN username, Rolento. Check it out! Seth and I will be duking it out on this level later today, and this may be the only Street Fighter I can actually have a hope of beating him in... Nice work Rolento!
