The latest sales figures show that Afrika managed second spot in the weekly software sales for Japan. However, the PS3 didn't even manage to break five digits selling just 9,775 units in the week which was WAY behind the Wii's 35,755 weekly sales.
Conclusion? Afrika is not a system seller, at least in Japan...
To quote: The rest of the top ten was mostly older games. Wii Fit took fifth place with 31,134 units, and was followed by, Inazuma Eleven (Level-5, DS, 29,245), Battlefield Bad Company (Electronic Arts, PS3, 25,603), Dragon Quest V (Square Enix, DS, 23,389), Phantasy Star Portable (Sega, PSP, 23,106), and Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo, Wii, 22,621). Of these, Battlefield was new, although the PS3 version trailed the 360 version's June release.

Don Mattrick, senior vice-president of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business, has said he expects the XBox 360 to secure second place in the current generation console war.
"We will sell more consoles this generation than Sony," Mattrick told Business Week.
He made the comments as Microsoft announced it was slashing the price of all three of its Xbox 360 models in the US, having recently done so in Japan also. As a result of the move, the entry level Xbox 360 Arcade is now priced at $199, making it the cheapest of the current generation of consoles on the market.
However, Mattrick said he was less confident of the Xbox 360 catching this generation’s current market leader, Nintendo’s Wii.
"I'm not at a point where I can say we're going to beat Nintendo," he said.
With the PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark hitting in November, nearly half a year after its PC, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2 versions, the development team have had plenty of time to fix the mistakes made in the initial release, and fix they have.

Kotaku writes: Now that the XBox 360 line-up has been giving a serious price gutting in the US of A, the cuts continue, with the 120GB hard drive seeing a $30 reduction.
Previously at $179, it would have been an even harder prospective purchase for anyone picking up a $199 Xbox 360 Arcade.
The hard drive add on is now slightly more reasonably priced at $149 at both EBGames and Amazon.

Take-Two may be thinking about bringing Grand Theft Auto to the Nintendo Wii, reports MCV. At an earnings call, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder commented on the close relationship the company has garnered with Nintendo in the development of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
"I will tell you that we've spent an enormous amount of time and effort working with Nintendo and developing that partnership," he said.
He goes on to comment that the company will "continue to build that relationship," and calls Chinatown Wars an "important step." When asked directly about a Grand Theft Auto game on the Nintendo Wii, Feder turned suspiciously evasive. "So without commenting on whether GTA specifically...is coming to the Wii or not, I will say that Nintendo and Take-Two work very well together," he said.
"We intend to continue to grow that relationship." This isn't by any means a confirma... More »
