Some goodies like FTP, added more visual effects and MP3 playback are now included, and you can follow my progress over in our forums and be sure to grab the release to give us any feedback.

Check the changelog and video below. CAW!

To quote: Well guys, by popular demand here's Solar v2.0. This is a multiMAN edition and stand-alone. The app would need to be spawned by multiMAN, so it's up to Dean.

But the stand-alone will spawn multiMAN. FTP works really well, and it's very fast, but sadly only one session... lol, so use it wisely. I will fix in the future. Will add more stuff in future releases, but 1st I have to fix my setup... lol which caused my delay.

Hope you guys enjoy it, CAW!

Changelog:

  • FTP
  • Particles effects
  • Light effects
  • Added Text
  • Major memory fixes
  • Some resolutions and cosmetic changes
  • Fixed Sound loop bug

Usage:

  • SELECT pauses the music
  • START resumes it. lol
  • X starts the FTP
  • And all the other buttons will launch multiMAN.

FTP works really well, and it's very fast, but sadly only one session...lol, so use it wisely. will fix in the future. Will add more stuff in future releases, but 1st I have to fix my setup... lol which caused my delay. Hope you guys enjoy it, CAW!

Solar v2.2 Changelog:

  • Fixed soft reset when exiting to xmb with PS button
  • Packages are now half the size, Thanks DeanK.
  • Ftp is a little better, can be used as many times as wanted now.
  • Changed animations around.
  • Some more code clean-up.

Note: when using FTP, you have to connect & re-connect twice to return Solar's animation, till I fix that.

Today Italian PlayStation 3 scene site BiteYourConsole has shared a guide on how to install multiMAN PS3 Themes via USB from a PKG file below.

To quote, roughly translated: Here is the program that allows us to download the theme directly in a PKG file and you can install through a pendrive.

Download: [Register or Login to view links]

The program was inspired by earlier work done on Bite that we allowed them to create the PKG file, the program was modified to allow an upgrade file that goes to save the theme within multiMAN.

Procedure

  • Drag the file.THM in the themes folder.
  • Click on theme.bat and wait the end of the process.
  • Copy the MM4PS3-BLES80608_00-MULTIMANAGER0440.pkg file on a usb stick and install on the PS3.

The program can also be used for the themes of the hcode123 mod and opium2k, but only about MultiMAN.

Finally, multiMAN Theme Control (32 and 64 bits) is an executable multiOptions to facilitate packaging themes for multiMAN.

Download: [Register or Login to view links] (1 MB) / [Register or Login to view links] (1 MB)

Features:

  • Create IQR theme - From folder theme, will reduce 10% Quality on some images and create other theme folder IQR (After if you want, THM and PKG)
  • Create THM theme - It will create .thm from folder theme (After if you want, PKG)
  • Create PKG theme - It will create .pkg from folder theme
  • Create PKG multiThemes - It will create one .pkg from with all THMs in executable directory

This executable uses:

  • mmTM_GUI.exe from aldostools
  • make_package_npdrm.exe from Sony
  • PhotoResize.exe from Vlastimil Miler
  • msvbvm50.dll Visual Basic Virtual Machine
  • and batch code written by brunolee

Today I have made some MultiMAN Covers to fill the voids that are left. I am going to try and keep this thread updated as soon as I see new game releases.
Mucho Thankies for these, any chance of covers for BLES01739 Dead Island Riptide, BLJM61010 - Ninja Gaiden: Razors Edge, BLJM60567 - Vampire Resurrection, BLUS31168 - WRC3

You would have my undying gratitude.
