Video: Showtime PS3 Media Player Mod v1 by SPT-Team Arrives

140w ago - Following up on the previous Showtime PS3 Media Player news, today a group called SPT-Team has released their own Showtime PS3 Media Player Mod version 1 below alongside a demo video of it in action.

To quote: Here's a version that integrates plugins Showtime recently released history of easy installation of the homebrew multimedia player.

  • Add: Youtube plugin (thx Facanferff)
  • Add: Channel 9 plugin (thx facanferff )
  • Add: Navi-X plugin (thx facanferff )
  • Mod: icon png
  • Add: SNDO.AT3 music intro
  • (Thx redsquirrel87 for homebrew)

Installation:

  • Download and unzip the archive => Showtime MoD v1
  • Copy / paste the package on a USB drive formatted in fat32
  • Plug into the console and install the package via "install_package_file"
  • Showtime run from the icon in the XMB video column
  • Enjoy!

When you add MKV we better also add the ability to handle NTFS... since that they are always big!

You should definitely add support for MKV files!! That would make this program sky-rocket into legend!

I'm sick of hearing about XBMC... these are still early days as far as homebrew media players for PS3s, they will get better.
I agree with you - however, it depends on how it is referenced. 'When will we get XBMC?' is pretty annoying, and I'd rather have a native PS3 app just like this. Just keep in mind the standard it set for homebrew multimedia playback and management.
