They Do Not Die 2 v0.3 PS3 Homebrew Game
To quote: Here is another updated version of They Do Not Die. This new update Most notably features destructible walls and the ability to save the game state. Game saves are fairly large and consequently rather slow to create and load but that will improve over time.
I’m still undecided about what the subtitle should be so keep posting any ideas you have. Right now I’m leaning towards going with Collateral Damage (suggested by Griffunt) or Life After Death (suggested by Annelies)
On a less obviously related subject does anybody know how to go about measuring the passage of time with millisecond precision (or near enough to it for it to be usable when calculating the frame rate) when developing for PS3 with PSL1GHT?
What has changed:
- You can save the game at any time and obviously also load that save.
- The on screen text now scales so it no longer fills an overly large portion of the screen at low resolution.
- In addition to your gun you now have a rocket launcher.
- Rockets explode when they are shot, hit a person or hit a wall.
- Explosions destroy walls, push people back and hurt people.
- You can now run which consumes energy.
- Shooting momentarily prevents energy from regenerating.
- If you try to consume energy when you have none left then you will instead lose health.
- The speed that your health regenerates at directly correlates to how much energy you have.
- The screen (specifically the edges of it) turn red when you are low on health.
- The world is more densely populated.
PS3 controls:
- Left analog stick = Move
- Right analog stick = Aim
- L1 = Shoot the rocket launcher
- R1 = Shoot the gun
- L3 = Run
- Select = Save
- Start = Load

Below are the changes from his blog, as follows: Here is a small update for They Do Not Die 2 along with its first Windows release.
I've added blood and corpses. On Wii and PS3 they quickly shrink until they disappear but on Windows they fade instead of shrink (which I think looks a lot better) and there can be more of them in the game world at a time which means that they disappear more slowly.
I've also made a handful of minor and most likely unnoticeable changes (mostly related to city generation).
Windows controls:
WASD = Move
Mouse cursor = Aim
Right mouse button = Fire the rocket launcher
Left mouse button = Fire the machine gun
Left shift = Run
Space = Pause
Wii controls:
Analog stick = Move
Pointer = Aim
Left = Fire the rocket launcher
Down = Fire the machine gun
Right = Fire the shotgun
A = Run
B = Fire the machine gun
Plus = Pause
Minus = Pause
PS3 controls:
Left analog stick = Move
Right analog stick = Aim
L1 = Fire the rocket launcher
R1 = Fire the machine gun
L2 = Fire the shotgun
L3 = Run
Start = Pause

Well it would take him a lot of work but it would be awesome if he could pull it off.

To quote: Here is another updated version of They Do Not Die 2. Not a lot has changed but there is now a Wii version.
Notable changes:
Added on screen text showing the highest number of zombies you have ever killed before dieing (if you pass that high score then the new number will get saved when you die).
You can now play with up to four people (it was previously limited to two).
The position and size of the health and energy bars during multiplayer has changed.
There are now four different kinds of wooden crates (the differences are only cosmetic).
Menu text is larger and the title looks better.
Game saving and loading is even faster.
