102w ago - Following up on his previous updates, this weekend PlayStation 3 homebrew developer Quake of [Register or Login to view links] has released a PS3 homebrew application called Simple PS3Updates v1.0.0 followed by v1.0.1 and v1.0.2 with details outlined below.

To quote: SubZero DeZigns brings you; Simple PS3Updates - v1.0.0

This is just a simple update checker. Type in the Game ID and click Fetch.

Functions:

  • Add ID
  • Save List
  • Skinning
  • Opacity
  • Multiple Downloads - Using Asynchronous. No Inet controls!

Notes: This software could interfere with download accelerators. And few more for good measure.

P.S. Yes! There are some other PS3 Update downloaders out there. This is my version. Installer Includes all files needed. RAR file only includes EXE and Skin files.

Skins can be edited via: X:\Program Files\Simple PS3Updates\skin

I suggest copying the default skin and edit from there.

NOTE:

Windows:

  • Requires the .Net framework 4.x
  • Requires an internet connection

Linux:

  • Requires the latest version of the Mono Framework

could we use this to mod the ps3 backup, maybe to restore on someone elses system or install pkgs throught restore, because of the .dat files

I downloaded a ps1 game but its a que file how do i extract that?

With a que splitter i thought that it is only for music albums.

never frikking mind.. I must be going blind, second time double posting today.. arrghh..

The executable s are in the rar. Just dig deeper in the bin folders.
