77w ago - Following up on his previous update, today PlayStation 3 homebrew developer Redsquirrel87 has released Showtime PS3 Media Player Repack version 3.3.296, which includes the following changes below:

PS3 Showtime Media Player Repack v3.3.296 Changelog:

Missing SVG file
glwtheme: Replace all icons with vector versions instead
Fix use after free()
Add a simple SVG renderer
Plug memory leak
Fix build break
PS3: Fix buffer management issues
Fix some race conditions when exiting video playback
Fix possible use after free
Don't wait for the video playback controller to terminate.
Fix initialized but unused warning
configure.linux: Unbreak --cc option

I'm sick of hearing about XBMC... these are still early days as far as homebrew media players for PS3s, they will get better.

thank god something like this came out i was trying to see a movie in the ps3 and it wouldn't play it yet i put in my daughters wii using wiimc and it played it, i just looked like a fool with my high end ps3.. please tell do i need the self file. thanks

Yes, I was. I wonder if the Ps3 will ever have naything as good as XBMC was on the original xbox. Those were the days.

i have one doubt my ps3 have the OFW 4.41 instaled and have the 3.56 OFW from factory to instal this CFW i have to make the downgrade from 4.41 to 3.5...
