Well I tried all combinations of the patch, patch 1.1 and the two versions of the program. The only combination which would start is patch 1.1 with EP0000248680 and as someone else mentioned previously, that crashes during registration.
I'm looking it up now to see if there is a way to get it working.
Just to clarify here, do I need this to be done a PS3 with official firmware? I thought I saw the remote play option say that it needs to be done through PSN. I assume an ethernet cable from the PS3 to PC will work?
Well, it looks like I found the answer myself. A simple restart before attempting to use the program gets it working and it connected fine. The only problem is that the quality was atrocious, here I was thinking it would output 720p, I should have known.
This would have been nice to use to preview the MW3 dynamic theme instead of video recording my TV, lol. Also it would be cool if I could use this to play PS3 games such as Skyrim, so I wouldn't have to choose on whether I should get it on my PC or PS3.
I'll give this a shot, if it doesn't add additional lag that's very useful. Just displaying it through my PC means I can add post processing anti aliasing to it. MLAA has been broken for a while now (nice going with those drivers there AMD) but FXAA can still be applied by injecting files.
1Panic - its any psp not just the slim.
zankai - its the actual PC port of remote play thats the fail not the crack. As I said 99% of remote play apps wont work via the PC but will work via a PSP.
Do you really think Sony will be that nice for it to actually work?
Whats your thoughts with the Vita? They say they will have remote play for the Vita but they've always had it for the PSP and its been useless so will they actually let the Vita run games properly or crippled like the way they have it now with the PSP?
