160w ago - A few days back we reported on a guide to compile the PSL1GHT Open-Source SDK, and today Matt_P and bigboss have announced that they have added PSEye support to the PSL1GHT SDK while n4ru has updated HeXMBoot (based off XMBoot) to compile XMBoot packages for PS3 JailBreak users.
1. .rar the following files in the PS3_GAME directory for the game of your choice (NOT THE DIRECTORY ITSELF.)
The name of the .rar should be the ID of the GAME (IE: BCUS00000). The game should have the same directory filename (9 characters). If it happens to be 10 characters (IE: BCUS-00000), rename the directory. You should/might have the following files rar'd:
2. Place the .rar inside the same directory as HeXMBoot. Do not have more than one .rar at a time.
3. If you need Direct Boot or Hermes Fix, open up options.conf in the HeXMBoot directory and change 0 to 1 for desired option.
4. If you need to change the directory, open up directory.conf in the HeXMBoot directory and change the directory.
5. Run HeXMBoot. Your .pkg should be compiled.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE FREEZING DURING COMPILATIONS SIMPLY CLOSE HeXMBooT AND OPEN IT AGAIN.

+ Different syscall support (PL3 is now default).

+ mountpoint option added (syscall35 only).
+ Hermes fix is now syscall36 only, syscall35 does not need it.
+ H_Fix is now C_Fix (Controller Fix).
+ stack option added (stack size for Direct Boot). Use 1M, 512K, 256K, or 128K.
+ priority option added (Priority for Direct Boot). Use 3071 or 1001.
+ Code cleanup.
+ Titlebar no longer shows percentage. Use logs for relevant debug information.
Want to compile your own XMB game boot .pkg files but can't be bothered with modifying the PARAM.SFO, the main.cpp, and everything else? Or maybe you just don't know HOW to?
Here comes HeXMBoot. It's as simply as creating a .rar archive for a few files in the PS3_GAME directory and naming the .rar the game's ID. Then just run HeXMBoot and out comes your .pkg!
If the program freezes at 33% or 50%, this is common, restart the program and it should work (may take several tries, it's not my code freezing, it's the original XMBoot.)
Supports Hermes and PL3! XMBoot, QStart, and SmallLoader DO NOT!
NOTE: Before running HeXMBoot, you need to have the Sony PS3 SDK environment set up for compiling, and need to have 010 Hex Editor v3 (http://www.sweetscape.com/download/010EditorInstaller.exe) installed.
