PS3 TrueAncestor EBOOT Resigner v1.4 Update is Now Available

103w ago - Following up on his previous releases, this weekend PlayStation 3 homebrew developer JjKkYu has updated his SCETool Script to PS3 TrueAncestor EBOOT Resigner v1.4 followed by v1.41 with the changes outlined below.

I renamed my resigner to 'TrueAncestor EBOOT Resigner'.

v1.4 Changelog:

1. Re-make user interface and script.
2. Re-make scetool key file (appldr to 4.30/npdrm to 4.25).
3. Add 3.41 CFW support.
4. Add decrypt FSELF option.
5. Auto-load ContentID from npdrm EBOOT.
6. Fix 3.55/3.41 resign for some games.








Note: To resign self and ppu.self files you just need to rename them to EBOOT.BIN, use option 5/6 to fix them and then rename them back to their original name.

v1.41 Changelog:

1. Add supporting resign 4.25 EBOOT to 4.21 in 4.XX options.
2. Fix 4.25 EBOOT resign to 3.55/3.41/DEX.

Following up on his previous revision, today PlayStation 3 developer naehrwert has updated PS3 SCETool v0.2.5 which utilizes metadata information for decryption among the changes outlined below.

Setup:

  • /data/keys : Keyfile.
  • /data/ldr_curves : Loader curves (7744 bytes).
  • /data/vsh_curves : VSH curves (360 bytes).

NPDRM key(set) names:

  • [NP_tid]: Title ID OMAC1 key.
  • [NP_ci]: Control info OMAC1 key.
  • [NP_klic_free]: Free klicensee.
  • [NP_klic_key]: Klicensee key.
  • [NP_sig]: Footer signature ECDSA keyset.

History:

Version 0.2.5:

  • Added option to use provided metadata info for decryption.
  • "PS3" path environment variable will now be searched for keys/ldr_curves/vsh_curves too.
    Version 0.2.4:
  • Added option to display raw values.
  • Moved factory Auth-IDs to (as they are on ps3devwiki now).

Version 0.2.2:

  • Added options to override control/capability flags (32 bytes each).
  • Fixed where a false keyset would crash scetool when decrypting a file.
  • Some source level changes and optimizations.

Version 0.2.1:

  • zlib is required to use scetool.
  • 'sdk_type' was changed to 'revision' in data/keys.

its for encrypt/decrypt any elf/self with the known keys so far (this will not work from selfs up to 3.55+) like Ezio says...
is mostly for development purposes.

It's just a great tool, a bit difficult to use for the average user. It is a multi-tool based on the fail0verflow tools and mainly it allows to encrypt/decrypt any elf/self with the known keys so far. I'm very glad the coder naehrwert makes it pubblic for all developers and not. I take this opportunity to thank him publicly.

what does the tool actually do though. I see my comment from the last update is just there.

I wouldn't really want to repeat myself, but yeah.. should have that info in there.
