106w ago - Following up on his initial release, this weekend PlayStation 3 developer Flat_z has updated his PS3 Save Game Tools hacking pack alongside a fix for PFDTool v0.2.0 followed by v0.2.1 and v0.2.2 with details below.

From the included ReadMe file: Guys, here is an updated version of pfdtool.

Please test it carefully because I have no time at the moment to test it by myself.

Changelog:

  • Support of PARAM.PFD for trophies (without keys, of course)
  • Support of PARAM.PFD v4 which used in a newer SDK
  • Fixed a bug with verify operation on signature hashes
  • Now you can use a list of product codes delimeted by '/' (slash), for example: [BLUS31142/BLES01403], they should use the same disc hash key and secure file IDs
  • Show an information about .PFD type and version

The format for 'global.conf' is different. Please add these changes to your files:

1. Add a new parameter called 'user_id' which set the user identifier (the same number as used in your home folder: /dev_hdd0/home/[user_id]/)
2. Add a new parameter called 'keygen_key'. Open 'Talk:Keys' page on the PS3DevWiki and search for string 'KeygenV4'
3. Rename the parameter 'param_sfo_key' to 'savegame_param_sfo_key' (see below)
4. There a bunch of new keys for trophies: 'trophy_param_sfo_key', 'tropsys_dat_key', 'tropusr_dat_key', 'troptrns_dat_key', 'tropconf_sfm_key' and they are not public so left them as XX.

Also I noticed that some of you use a kernel swapping feature in the REX firmware. Don't forget to use your current (!) console ID. For example, if you made a save game on a DEX then you need to specify a DEX console ID.

Disc hash keys are sent to the PS3 by the Blu Ray Drive itself (well, not the actual disc hash key but some data from the disc which will be encrypted after that and used as a disc hash key).

PFDTool 0.2.1 Changelog:

  • Fixed issues with the file size.

PFDTool 0.2.2 Changelog:

  • Now encrypt and decrypt operations update hashes automatically (be sure to use all keys!).
  • Fixed another issue with the file size of modified files.
  • Removed a verbose flag because it is not used at the moment.

Following up on my previous release, today I have updated my ([Register or Login to view links]) PS3 Save Resigner to version 2.0 followed by v2.0.1 and v2.0.5 with the changes outlined below.

Download: [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links] / Ultimate Save Resigning Guide by JeoWay

What's up guys, I give a whole new version of my first PS3 Save Resigner. PS3 Save Resigner 2.0. It's further more easier to resign/decrypt/encrypt a PS3 save now.

Reminder: With the PS3 Save Resigner, you can resign any saves from any regions to any regions. From any accounts to any Accounts.
You can also remove the copy-protection, decrypt & encrypt. It's easy to use, and VERY user-friendly. It works for Retail PS3. You don't have to search keys anymore.

Note: the games.conf is updated regularly by aldostool, so i will update the new file each times in the "yousendit folder". You will have to replace the old one by the updated one in the tool's folder.

Thanks to flat_z for his amazing work. The games.conf is from aldostool. This is just for people who needs an easier way to use flat_z's tool. Credit goes to flatz for his pfdtool.

Update logs 1.5 to 2.0.1:

  • I started over, and came with a more improved application, more easy to use.
  • Support drag and drops, unlimited profiles, detect usb plug, easy resigner/decrypt/encrypt interface ect...
  • And most important less errors. If you have everything installed correctly (msvcr) then, you shouldn't have any problem, unless the game isn't in the games.conf yet.

From the included ReadMe File: In the Plugin folder, you will find msvcr dlls that you will be able to use if the tool deosn't work for you.
Just replace your current dll with one from the plugin folder, don't forget to rename it properly.

You need the following for the tool to work:

  • Net Framework 4.0
  • Visual C++ 2010 Redistibutable x64 or x86
  • Visual C++ 2010 Redistibutable x64 or x86 (MFC Security Update)
  • Visual C++ 2010 Redistibutable x64
  • Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistibutable x64 or x86
  • Visual C++ 2010 Redistibutable x64
  • Visual Studio 2010 F# Redistibutable
  • Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime (VSTO) 2010 Runtime
  • Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime (VSTO) 2010 Runtime x64

I've been trying to use the PS3 Save Resigner (GUI version) that came out not too long ago to decrypt (not sure if that's the right term for this) my save for Borderlands 2, so that I may modify it in Gibbed's Borderlands 2 Editor.

I'm not really sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if I'm just mistaken in what the program does.

Is this program supposed to be able to decrypt save.dat files and param.sfo files so you can modify them?

If it is, how would you go about decrypting them for modifying, then re-encrypting them?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
