PS3 Proxi v1.0 is Now Available

231w ago - Update: PS3 Proxi v1.1 is now available, which adds new options in the log and redirects, a help tab, setup guide and a PS3 System Update bypass.

PS3 Proxi v1.0 is now released!

Download: PS3 Proxi v1.0

What?
PS3PROXi is my take on how the PS3.ProxyServer.GUI should have been.
It does all the same stuff, redirects to local files, logs traffic/addresses etc.

Why?
As soon as I started to use the original PS3.ProxyServer.GUI, I wanted to create my own. And try to improve upon the original.

Did you say Improved?
Yea, I think I have improved it. Added new features like:
• Tray Icon
• Updated GUI
With many more features planned.

NOTE:
I currently did this when I should have been revising for exams. I have them for the next week, so I wont be working on [hopefully] adding my planned features.

Planned Features do NOT include a way to bypass the store redirect, this is imposible [To my knowlege], NO iSO Loader etc.

Still Kinda WiP, so excuse any bugs :P

PS3PROXi v1.0 Instructions:

1. Extract all contents into a folder, making sure the config file is there.
2. Run 'PS3PROXi.exe'
3. Go to the settings tab and port of YOUR PC
4. Make sure you PS3 is set to use your PC's IP as the proxy.
5. Done.

V1.0 15/11/09 -Initial Release

Thanks for the screenshot! It helps those of us who can't see the options so we know what they are. The screenshot also shows that you have v1.2. The latest I have is 1.1 R3 (which does not include the option for "2.43 and below" & "2.50 and above") but I can't find a link to download 1.2 in this thread. Can someone post a link please?

Ok, so the bypass should work for firmware 3.xx folks, but 2.xx or lower folks are out of luck.

Can't be sure as i've not tested it, but if you actually read this thread you will see that NZHawk has previously stated that there is a difference between firmwares up to 2.43 and those since (2.50+), infact there is even an option on the settings page which allows you to choose which option you want to use.

See THIS image for clarification, as you can see there is an option on the bottom left - I believe you just need to select the option which is relevant to your PS3.
e.g. If you have a PS3 with firmware 1.10 on it, i guess you select the "FW 2.43 + below" option.
If you have a PS3 with firmware 3.00 on it, you just select the "FW 2.50 + Above" option.

BTW you also need to have set it up correctly with the correct IP address (of your PC), must have also ticked the "Bypass PS3 system update" option AND have setup your PS3 to use the PC as it's proxy server. Not forgetting any firewalls you might have on your PC or Hardware (otherwise this is all just pointless)

In future, i'd recommend reading the thread a bit more carefully.

As i said, i can't advise as to whether the option work on anything other than the PS3 I have (an original 60GB PAL with FW3.00 on it)

(If i seem a bit abrupt this evening, that's what 30mins on the phone to the mother-in-law resolving her PC problems gets ya!)

Mine (original 60gb) bypasses the firmware update just fine.
I'm currently on 3.00, latest required update is 3.10 but i've been online (just the Store so far) without any problems.

I've not tried playing any network games yet though, so can't comment on that. But i shouldn't have thought it would be a problem.

I am not trying to undermine the hard work of NZHawk or anything, but has anyone besides NZHawk gotten the update bypass working for them? I tried many times but always gotten the "fail" or error code 2002a21a (or something like that).
