97w ago - Following up on his previous release, today PlayStation 3 homebrew developer SvenGDK has updated PS3 Multi Tools for Windows to version 8.0 with the changes outlined below.

PS Multi Tools v8 Changelog:

Hi people, it’s time for the first PS Multi Tools release in 2013

The new version comes with these new features:

  • FTP Features (Browse, upload, download...)
  • PKG Features (Pack, unpack, sign, decrypt...) via PS PKG File Manager
  • New EBOOT Database (Can be opened on NormalMenu->Multi Tools->EBOOT Database)
  • DOStoPS3 is reavailable (Can be opened on NormalMenu->Multi Tools->DOS Game to PS3 Game Converter)
  • Added 58 more EBOOTs (More EBOOTS will be added auto.)
  • Updated: Selector
  • Fixed: The “games” should now work perfectly, now loading unpacked PKGs too
  • Removed: CheckPSMT, Unused configs

PS Live Menu 4.5 Update

  • MyPS -> Register and login to your own PS Multi Tools Account
  • MyPS -> Download additional (not included) languages

What is PS Multi Tools?

  • PS Multi Tools (previously PS3 Multi Tools) was designed to manage your PS3/PS2/PSP Game Backups.
  • It is able to load your PS3/PS2/PSP Game Backups from a folder/memory stick (like GAMEZ, GAMES, ...) and reading the PARAM.SFO/SYSTEM.CNF file.
  • You are also able to copy the PS3/PS2/PSP Game Backups into an other HDD/Memory Stick.

With PS Multi Tools you can:

  • Load PS3/PS2/PSP Game Backups
  • Copy PS3/PS2/PSP Game Backups to a HDD/Memory Stick
  • Format a HDD to FAT32 (any HDD size)
  • Sign PKG files
  • Patch LV2 for 4.21
  • Edit PARAM.SFO files
  • Decrypt/Sign EBOOTs up to 4.XX
  • Check the MD5 Hash of the downloaded file with aldostools MD5 database to see if it's the original file or a modified one
  • Download the latest PC / PS3 Homebrew Applications, Official / Custom Firmwares, Emulators, Backup Managers ...
  • Customize PS Multi Tools via MyPS Multi Tools (Themes, Choose Language, Get BETA or RELEASE Updates, ...)
  • It has also a built-in PKG File Manager and FTP Manager.

  • All versions below v10 will not more work because of the new PS Live Menu

Following up on his previous revision, today PlayStation 3 homebrew developer SvenGDK has released XMBPCE v0.7 Beta followed by v0.7.2 which is a PC XMB clone with the changelog below.

To quote: Changelog for XMBPCE v0.70:

  • New game covers (Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, ...)
  • You can now browse previous files, not only browse the next ones.
  • Theme installer (Yes, p3t files compatibility. TO INSTALL THEMES YOU NEED TO PLACE THE P3T FILE IN .mediaThemes)
  • Background downloader (Like on the PS3 with a speed indicator feature)
  • File browser for future things (You can control it with the controller and select your p3t theme from there)
