To quote from his blog: PS3 Game List v3.2

Another application update, bringing PS3 Game List to v3.2. Following the engine update from the previous release, this revision fixes one of the main issues that kept lingering for a long time: crashing.

Since PS3GL supports several types of media (game folders, ISO, RAR, PKG, 7Z and PSARC files, to be precise), an occasional error would crash the application and cause great annoyance. Not anymore. The app will now skip bad media and inform which ones did not load as expected. Please report back to improve media compatibility.

This release implements new requested features, like further PARAM.SFO editing, visualization of trophies from game trilogies and the support for non game PKG. Also, tossed in a couple of fixes to improve old functionality. All in all, a recommended upgrade.

Check the changelog below for all the 3.2 features. As usual, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

v3.2

  • No more crashing while loading media (hopefully! ; report any media that does not load, in case of error);
  • Further PARAM.SFO editing (Warning Screens and Move options);
  • Trophies from games with more than one set (such as trilogies) are now supported;
  • Loading non-game PKG files (such as themes and extras) is now supported;
  • Fixed crash while loading Vita PKG files;
  • Fixed file joining issue.

Its still got the same issue where it crashes when you try to download the update of some games. I have 5 games that I cant update as it crashes everytime I try.

But I can manually download the update which this crashes on so its not the update but this app thats the problem. Its always had it and still got it with this latest version.

Try Saints Row 4, God Of War Ascension, Gran Turismo 6, PayDay 2, Invisimals The Lost Kingdom. As none of them update, they will all crash when I try.

To quote from his blog: PS3 Game List v3.1

Yet another revision bringing PS3 Game List to v3.1. As mentioned before, the main goal was to work on the application engine so it could better accommodate upcoming changes. Roughly, it means tons of fixes, and game data loading up to 80% faster.

This version implements a new feature: UDF (ISO 13346) file system support. In addition to loading ISO 9660 files, users can both create and load UDF 2.50 ISO images of their game folders. PS3GL now supports loading split ISO images as well.

Moreover, the app now fully supports Unicode characters in game folders (finally no more errors while loading data or mass renaming).

Check the changelog below for all the 3.1 features.

As usual, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

v3.1

  • Improved application engine (game data will load up to 80% faster);
  • UDF (ISO 13346) file system image support (users can both create and load UDF 2.50 ISO images of games in their library; data stored as an ISO image will not be editable; an icon will overlay both avatar and background image in order to differentiate the entry from standard game folders, and the tooltip will display additional info about the volume; note that ISO images do not follow the ‘folder depth’ configuration, just have them stored at the root of a directory and they will be loaded as a regular game folder);
  • Support for loading split ISO images (e.g.: filename.iso.0, filename.iso.1, etc.);
  • Support for Unicode characters in game folders;
  • Fixed issue that prevented displaying trophies from ISO images;
  • Fixed bug that prevented opening folders in explorer;
  • Fixed bug while extracting trophy data;
  • Fixed bug while joining split files;
  • Fixed drive status issue;
  • Fixed image replacing issue.

This one crashes more than the last version. Its also a lot slower.

I've stayed back to an even older more stable version.

Following up on his previous version, today PlayStation 3 developer wborland0 has updated PS3 Game List Manager to version v3.0 for Windows x64 with the changes below.

To quote from his blog: PS3 Game List v3.0

In time for the holidays, another revision bringing PS3 Game List to v3.0. The idea behind this release was to update once again the framework supporting the application, while including new stuff as well.

This version implements an interesting feature (which is yet another major addition to the application, and a project on its own): the ability to decode Sony’s proprietary ATRAC3Plus audio files. PAM video files (the animations displayed when the game is selected on XMB) can now be played with the corresponding audio stream.

Moreover, the tooltip info now includes available languages and game version, so it is easier to identify which game to play. Also, for those still using the late OS, Windows Xp support is back.

As for the Mac and Linux versions, it seems my virtual machines are to blame for the corrupted files, and it is still unresolved. Virtualization has its advantages, but it doesn’t always go smooth. It would be a good time to have a Mac setup donated. Anyone?

This is probably the last release using the current codebase. Next step will be tossing it, and rewriting the engine from scratch so it can accommodate the changes needed to support the PS4 games, among other things. Not sure what will happen, though.

Check the changelog below for all the 3.0 features.

As usual, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

v3.0

  • ATRAC3Plus audio decoding (PAM video files will now be played with the corresponding audio stream; configuration via settings dialog);
  • Windows Xp support is back;
  • Game version and available languages are now included in the tooltip info (triggered by hovering the mouse over a populated list);
  • Trophies can now be sorted by their value;
  • Built with the latest major release of Qt, OpenSSL and compiler for improvements in speed, security and size;
  • Fixed sorting updates by their count.
