Hi,
I'm replying to answer the call of "what are our members' skills".
But first, let me congratulate the new ps3 dev, good luck with everything!

So.. I'm 26 years old, Moroccan, but I live in Canada, so I speak English, French and Arabic, and I also have some knowledge of spanish, although I don't understand it all and I can't write it...

I have very strong C/C++/Tcl/Tk/Java/ASM knowledge..
I've been using Linux for 8 years now and I've always liked to use terminals for everything, so i'm used to command line stuff...
I run E17 as a WM, and I usually have around 50+ xterms running constantly.. I must have used a GUI for browsing my files twice in my entire life

I'm known in the open source world as KaKaRoTo, I'm the lead developer and project manager of the aMSN Project (MSN Messenger clone) for which I've done quite a lot of stuff, mainly reverse engineering the protocols and disassembly.
Amongst other things, I wrote the libsiren library (SIREN audio codec).. it was an ASM to C reverse engineering of Microsoft's proprietary audio codec.

I work for Collabora (Open Source centric company), so I've been working with gstreamer, farsight and telepathy, and I'm the maintainer of libnice (first open source library implementing the ICE specifications) which is a NAT traversal library (GUADEC talk slides : [Register or Login to view links] ).

Pretty much all my code is open source and available if you know how to use google...
Unfortunately, I wouldn't fit the requirement about having free time...
Although I did some OpenGL once at school, I don't remember much and I haven't really worked with anything relating to shaders or graphical stuff in general.

Oh, I graduated from Polytechnique Montreal as a Software Engineer... I think that's pretty much it

As I said, I don't have much free time but if you need any help from time to time, I could try and give you my support the best I can, so feel free to contact me if anything comes up!

Keep up the good work!

I am quite adept at C/C++, and I am very versatile. I also have a history of working on xbox developments and exploits under a different pseudonym.

I have been working on the ps3, with negligible collaboration, but the amount of time I have spent thus far has been limited. My occupation is currently quite demanding. I have a few areas of the ps3 that I have been focusing on that I have seen little discussion about, but I believe may prove fruitful.

I have been utilizing a ps3 with 1.51 FW, which I have not upgraded. It would be extremely beneficial if I could gain access to a dev unit or a ps3 with < 1.50 FW.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to utilize my skills/experience.

Hmm, I own a IT placement firm here in the NW. I could find qualified candidates for this position. As I do this everyday for clients nationwide. We deal in H1 and H2 visa's as well.
