PS3 Service Mode JIG set-up files have been leaked, and we're told by someone close that the actual source of the leak is infact the leaker who goes by the nickname of
hackerpointer. Apparently he is the same source of
THIS leaked screenshot back in November of last year.
In any case, those who want to grab them can do so below, however, don't expect it to lead anywhere (remember: they are "old" files to PS3 Devs, meaning this is indeed "old news" just new to the general public).

As it's already making it's rounds on the Internet, we hesitantly decided to post on it... even though those who can actually utilize the files (and attempt to replicate the required hardware) have had them for quite some time.
Here is some background on what the included files are for those new to the PS3 Dev world...
Lv2diag.self: crashes on a Debug console, likely used for lv2 diagnostics.
PS3UPDAT.PUP: a very tiny updater PUP, enough for just a 'base' system. It doesn't run on any system the resident PS3 Devs currently have access to.
UPDATER_LOG.TXT: simply a service mode updater log.
That being said, in general such leaks are frowned upon as they put the source in jeopardy... however, since the source happens to be the leaker in this case there isn't much that can be done unfortunately. If they choose to leak such files taking any associated risk, that is their own perogative... even though it defies rational logic, unless the leaker removed all traces/watermarks of course.
Feel free to discuss the files below, but without the hardware, additional files with complete documentation, and the required software this leak is deemed as no legitimate use to date.
And who the hell are they?
haha, Since when has Sony ever used leet words.
the pandora must be able to turn on to crack mode wilst the PSP is turned on when the battery corer is taken off. it should not shut down if you are useing the right battery get the memory stick and put "PS3" folder on the root directery. In the ps3 folder put a folder called "PS3UPDAT" (capitals) then extract the Ps3c file one single time in all 3 directories.
I think it only uses it in the root directory but just use all 3 if you can then put the memory stick ready for use in to the 3 from the left USB port. Now this is the tricky bit.
1. Hold down the on butten the one that beeps
2. Immediately after holing downing down turn on and off rapidly and continuously, the swich at the back.
3. as you are turn it rapidly the front light will turn yello. as soon as this happen place the the switch at the back to the on position.
4. the light sholud start flashing on and off in a red colour.
once this happen let the light flash for whole 7 day. Yes 7 day!! after the 7 day are up press the on buton at the front it will stop flashing and go back to off then hold down the same butten for 4 seconds when you turn it on, If you check the back ground screen before you wait the 7 day it will be a different colour it will change to green (as soon as it loads up the whloe screen will be green, this means that it has worked.
As opposed to the 3.41 gold back ground then put put in the PSP with crack mode on in to, the left port (levave memory stick in) on the PSP turn on USB connection it should say (USB MODE) onthe psp screen. Then go to the "setting" on the PS3 then go to "system setting" then "Data Transfer Utility" then go to "2. Transfer Data fromthe other PS3 system to this system" it will say "ple4ase wait" then it should say error occured. Don't worry, then coles that up and go to "user" and "Turn off system" and wait 3 hours.
the very first time i tried it, that how long it took. but you can also turn off service mode by formatting the PS3 and the secon tim service mode turned on right away and that just about all. I can turn service mode on but i don't have a program to install test debug firmware or custom firmware (haven't seen it yet) I was trying to install test debug firmware with ubantu so I can copy games and run it back through a loader or launcher, but custom firmware would be better, so I hope all my work has not been in vain, as I said the is no install program that i could find.
A qick rould up, the program is hacking the dongle using the USB stick so that you can by pass the code and turn on pandora service mode without being blocked and you do not need a super pro dongle emulator it actually will load without.
Maybe now the dongle is turn off you could use a hacked version of PS3 Jailbreak on a USB stick. NOT SURE !! thank you ZENS, ROSS and ADAM For your info. It really helped.
