Changelog: mM 04.14.00

Changes related only to 4.20-4.30 CEX/DEX CFWs:

BD-Mirror:

  • BD-Mirror option now supports USB HDDs mounted as /dev_usb000 to /dev_usb127
  • BD-Mirror option uses different approach now and doesn't move the PS3_GAME folder of USB games and doesn't modify the mount table
  • After using BD-Mirror for USB games, the usb drive is still accessible in XMB (Video/Music/Photo/Saves)
  • Improved disc-less support with BD-Mirror option enabled

USB Ports issues:

  • When using more than one USB device mM will disconnect/reconnect them from/to the USB bus in the proper order
  • This fixes games that crash when started from USB when multiple devices are connected

NTFS/PFS usage:

  • It is now possible to use any NTFS usb drive without configuring its Vendor/Device IDs in USB.CFG
  • When switching to NTFS/PFS mode use only one USB HDD connected (mM supports up to 2 partitions: FAT32+NTFS, NTFS+NTFS, FAT32+FAT32)
  • To access the contents of NTFS drives use mmOS and /pvd_usb000 /pvd_usb001 (games from NTFS drives won't show in other display modes)

Other:

  • Better support for data CD/DVD/BD discs and improved "Enable Direct Disc Access" function
  • Improved BD-Mirror function for games on internal HDD
  • Games started from mmOS icons/shortcuts handle BD-Mirror/Ext.Game Data options properly
  • Online update server updated (5320 PS3 game covers and 3420 PS1/PS2 game covers)
  • Updated showTIME media player (for mM) to version 04.01.264
  • Updated 8 translation files

Install Package Files (standalone application):

  • Supports split pkg files named in the following format: filename.pkg.0 -> filename.pkg.63, filename.pkg.001 -> filename.pkg.064, filename.pkg.66600 -> filename.pkg.66663
  • Upon launch/refresh the following folders are scanned: /dev_usb***/, /dev_usb***/PKG, /dev_usb***/packages, /dev_hdd0/PKG, /dev_hdd0/packages
  • Updated stDISC application (better drive reset timing and support for 4.30CFW)
  • Updated gameDATA, bdRESET and lastGAME applications to support 4.30CFW
  • Updated showTIME media player (standalone) to version 04.01.264 (CEX/DEX)

The showtime version provided with mM as standalone acts as the build-in one so it returns to mM. If you wish to quit to XMB either use the official build or use {PS} button -> Quit to XMB.

About NTFS - if you previously configured usb.cfg just stick to it. Without USB.CFG only two partitions will be available - that's it.

Interesting, sadly I have not gone that far when going online, i just use the stealth version of multiman, + psntools, and I have been pretty good for the last month+

I'm not to fussed being banned though as I have access to another I.D

It's more simple than you think it is.

Basically, what I want to make sure that I can play as 'stealthy' as possible when going online. You might know that you don't need the Multiman stand-alone app on your xmb, you can simply delete it but still be able to use Multiman by opening either 'install package files' or the /app_home/ps3_game/ direction.

So my problem is: When I have the stand-alone Multiman app on my xmb, I can use PSN Tool flawlessly. With that I mean choose a game in Multiman, start PSN tool, exit PSN tool and launch game.

Without the Multiman app on my xmb though I have a problem. I choose a game on Multiman, then start PSN tool and when I exit PSN tool my xmb fails to load and my PS3 boots in recovery mode saying I have to restart my PS3. And when the PS3 reboots I have to re-install Multiman as I can't open it from 'install package files' or /app_home/ps3_game/. The issue is kinda complicated.

Same with both 4.30.2 Rebug and Rogero 4.30 v2.05.

I have read over this a couple of times, and still dont understand the question lol

So after you use psntool for its needs, you then delete multiman? before playing the game?

My issue is quite complicated but I'm hoping someone will help me out. PSN tool v1.0 works for me as long as the Multiman app is on my xmb.

However when I delete Multiman from my xmb (So I can still start it from install package files or /app_home/ if necessary), the PSN tool suddenly doesn't work anymore in this way:

  • Launch PSN Tool
  • Spoofing MAC Address is no problem, PS3 restarts and shows a different MAC address.
  • Launch Multiman, choose a game from external hdd, PS3 goes back to xmb.
  • Launch PSN tool again and spoof Console ID, press [R1] and then [L1] to remove syscalls and check hdd status.
  • Now exiting PSN Tool will make you successfully go back to xmb and launch your game IF you have the separate Multiman app on your XMB.

However having MultiMAN only as install package files and /app_home/ results in the ps3 booting up in recovery mode saying 'ps3 system software cannot be run correctly'.
