103w ago - Today multiMAN version 2.00.03 has been updated to include the latest SNES, Genesis and now FCEU (NES/Ultra) video game emulators courtesy of squarepusher2.

If you're on any previous version - I suggest that you update to the latest multiMAN.

Added: Threaded processing in background for downloading covers (no more GUI interruptions)
Added: XMMB mode will invoke download of missing covers, too
Added: Caching of Retro column
Changed: Non-blockable scanning in XMMB when device is connected/disconnected
Added: Support for Genesis+ GX retro emulator (port by squarepusher2)
Added: Support for FCEUltra (NES/ULTRA) PS3 retro emulator (port by squarepusher2)
Added: Support for VBA PS3 retro emulator (GameBoy/GameBoy Advanced)
Improved: XMMB Photo column display and navigation (no more image buffers release when full - a lot seamless now)
Added: Support for PNG covers for Retro column (408x408 max resolution) (408x180 for best results)
Fixed: Some issues in XMMB mode - all working much more stable now

This weekend an anonymous PlayStation 3 developer has made available a MultiMAN v04.01.00 DEX Update Mod (20120204) PKG for those who own PS3 Debug / Test consoles and wish to enable game back-ups on it.

To quote: You need to install the mmCM v04.01.00 released yesterday first on your DEX, then run this UPD PKG to get multiMAN to now run & play games from your HDD

This makes the mmCM function as normal multiMAN on DEX machines running 3.55 just like on CEX, but of course without the Cobra exclusive functions!

Not much more can be said about this release, but it seems to work on QA flag'ed CEX machines also thanks to LV2_Loader and the previous dexl0ve posting

Showtime PS3 Media Player Version 3.5.003.ge7371.dirty (February 4th, 2012) compiled for multiMAN.

Save the downloaded file as: /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/SHOWTIME.SELF

• Added: XMB videos and last folder visible in Showtime
• Added: Return to multiMAN when using the EXIT icon in to top right corner of main Showtime Interface

Since version 02.05.00 of multiMAN you can update your SHOWTIME within multiMAN, by going to XMMB Video tab -> Press [TRIANGLE] while "Start Showtime" is selected -> Update.

You can also update your showtime.self by deleting it from multiMAN's USRDIR folder and play a video - you'll be prompted to download the updated version. Be advised that in multiMAN versions 04.00.00+ SHOWTIME.SELF is located under USRDIR/sys folder.
