184w ago - Today pspLT has released the first PS3 homebrew via DemonHades, namely a PC Engine emulator dubbed PCE Emu, that runs on PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.41 without a dongle although a dongle is still required to install it.

Download: PCE.emu PC Engine Emulator for PS3 (3.41 FW)

To quote, roughly translated: Now, who is still with 3.41 firmware? Well, i don't know if this a good news or a not so pleasant one but it certainly worth of noting about.

Using a dongle to jailbreak your PS3 is hassling a lot of your time, even so the power + eject button is making it more annoying.

So, pspLT from DemonHades has released a nice emulator which is PCE.emu that works with the 3.41 PS3, dongleless. Except for the installation icon razz PCE.emu first PS3 Homebrew Working without Dongle on 3.41

PCE.emu is the name of the first emulator for PS3 that requires no dongle to work!! good one dongle is required to install it from INSTALL PACKAGE... but again to do ffuncionar consecutively and do not need eld ongle! the ps3 it works natively from the XMB, now let technical data:

So even if I had the "Install package" on the XMB it still wont work without JB? Well I wont bother then.

Is there a GetHot Modded firmware for 3.41 or is it 3.55 only?

Both EBOOT's are signed to work on either FW, we don't have package signing keys is why 3.41 won't install w/o JB, and no 3.41 version will not install on 3.55 as it is not signed with Geohot's fake key to work on Geohot's 3.55 CFW.
I have added the "Install package" function to my category_game.xml (FW3.41)
I have both install package and app_home/PS3_GAME which now displays "Play Game"

PKG signed for 3.55 would not install on 3.41, but i bet PKG signed for 3.41 will work for 3.55. So why not sign all PKG for 3.41?
That's what I was thinking. Why bother making 2 versions. 1 for 3.41 and 1 for 3.55 when the 3.41 version should still work in 3.55. As I'm on 3.41 thats what I'm making them for.

How do you do that? I've been trying to find a way so I can install PKGs when not in JB mode.

It'll speed up the testing time as I have to keep on rebooting to install them.

I'm pretty sure snes9x 4.4.3 was the first released working w/o dongle, I don't believe we have the keys to sign packages (except Geohot's fake sign for 3.55)
