From his page, to quote roughly translated: This PS3 CFW is installed directly into the NAND has been tested in different models of console (FAT and Slim, reported in the main post) and without any bricking or similar problem.

The testers have reported a high stability in the CFW and the same compatibility with games that could be obtained with different dongles.

The main core of the payload is based on Hermes, also has some features of PL3 and supplementary code and improved by Waninkoko.

Attempted to create an application that enable / disable the payload, so that after leaving a manager backup Blu-ray was functional. After some testing has not been able to be operational, it would be desirable for the various backups managers were in charge of implementing such functionality or may be added in a later CFW.

I think I'm supposed to make CFW related questions in the release thread, I apologize if I'm not. Anyway, I've got a 20GB first gen. PS3 on 3.41 right now, can I update straight to Waninkoko 3.55 with the modified update or do I need to go to 3.55 first?

I just installed V2 of this FW. now some apps like ps3 doom won't launch it just returns with an error.

is it because the pkg is signed wrong?

Hey there everyone,

I upgraded from Kmeaw's to Waninkoko's v2 because of the freezing issues. I noticed no freezing in the first day, but now it seems that it freezes much more. This happens at random times (mostly in the XMB, hardly ever in game) and I have to get up and turn my PS3 off through the back switch.

Is there a known fix for this, or have I done something wrong? I can play everything fine, but the freezing is getting a bit annoying. I've had to reset my ps3 over a hundred times the last few days.
