Infectus and E3 Card Reader PS3 Downgrader news, today the PS3 Break Team (and the
PS3Key/EcliPS3 Teams) have also confirmed they have a PlayStation 3 Downgrader for 3.50 Firmware consoles incoming.

Currently, news spreads on Internet regarding some brand dongle companies have capable of downgrading PS3 firmware from v3.50 to v3.41.

So it appears all of the PS JailBreak PS3 modchip clone devices will utilize the PS3 downgrader functionality, and here is to hoping a free version also surfaces soon.

i'll show everybody the REAL bricking - i only did the failed downgrade bricking.

you can semi-brick your ps3 if you update incorrectly or mess up the process. you then won't be able to turn on the ps3 as it will just give you an almost musical beep.
you will also not be able to turn off service mode with the second self file either. nore can you update again as youve most likely turned off the ps3.
the fix is simple though, just hard reset it and try to re-enter service mode. sometimes it won't work and sometimes it will - it took me two tries. when youre in service mode (you can only tell by the dongles light) - try the whole process again but use the modified 3.41 update.
What about if you have made NAND backups with infectus? Can you just restore the backup of the 3.50 firmware? I'd be willing to try this - I already have made backups of my 3.50 console...
