First PS3 Homebrew Emulator is Working Without Dongle on 3.41

206w ago - Today pspLT has released the first PS3 homebrew via DemonHades, namely a PC Engine emulator dubbed PCE Emu, that runs on PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.41 without a dongle although a dongle is still required to install it.

To quote, roughly translated: Now, who is still with 3.41 firmware? Well, i don't know if this a good news or a not so pleasant one but it certainly worth of noting about.

Using a dongle to jailbreak your PS3 is hassling a lot of your time, even so the power + eject button is making it more annoying.

So, pspLT from DemonHades has released a nice emulator which is PCE.emu that works with the 3.41 PS3, dongleless. Except for the installation icon razz PCE.emu first PS3 Homebrew Working without Dongle on 3.41

PCE.emu is the name of the first emulator for PS3 that requires no dongle to work!! good one dongle is required to install it from INSTALL PACKAGE... but again to do ffuncionar consecutively and do not need eld ongle! the ps3 it works natively from the XMB, now let technical data:


+ Support for Zip files
+ Cue files can use external audio tracks in Ogg Vorbis and WAV (PCM, ADPCM, etc) formats (does not work on PS3 today)

PS3 Controllers:

+ D-pad: navigate menus
+ Cross: entrance confirm or select the menu, the button
+ Circle: Cancel the menu entry
+ start: start your game


1- download the file (for ps3 3.41)
2- copy the file to the root of all removable media supported by the ps3 (pendrive, PSP card, etc …
3- mode start your PS3 with the dongle jailbreak your favorite
4- install the PKG.
5- get the roms for the emulator and copy it into your USB external HDD or in a folder named PCEUROMS
6- start your PS3 with the dongle / ig and voila and you will have the first emulator running on your PS3 official 3.41!

This is the way I do it. I've packed up full games: [Register or Login to view links]

This is the auto way but you have to copy over the extra files via FTP. It doesn't make a full PKG this way. This is how I signed all my homebrew/emulators. You get to choose 3.41 or 3.55

As you can see how old these other posts are, that's how long we could do it so this post is not new at all.

Yea. I would also like to know what tools you used? I haven't had much luck with some of the tools I have so I would like to know too.

what signing tools did you use? btw are you on 3.41 or 3.55 which is better i wana jailbreak yeh i'm a newbie.

For the record, of course- the PKG is that of a debug one, but the actual EBOOT is fully encrypted - which, is nice as - as it was stated, once installed, you can run without any dongle needed!
