122w ago - As a follow-up to his previous work, this weekend zouzzz has made available Custom Firmware Maker v1.1b for PS3 followed by v1.2b and 1.3 which allow users to create their own CFW for the PlayStation 3.
Fixed problem creating the Wutangrza LV1/LV2 Peek And Poke Fw.
.NET Framework Version 4 is required.
As this is an update of the executable, if you do not have all the files from previous versions, you must download the archive of 1.2b and simply replace the executable with that from the archive 1.3.
To quote, roughly translated from French: Zouzzz proposes a new version of its utility that lets you create a firmware based on 3.55 official with either changes in CFW Wutangrza, Kmeaw, Waninkoko peek and poke.

I used to convert my .mkv files awelll. Problem is you lose your ability to do anything with them afterwards. A .mkv is like a .zip file it has extra audio tracks, subs etc in it, in a raw "untouched" format (original encoding setting when ripped from the disk).
When it is converted to a .mpg you lose all that. It's like printing a word documet to paper, what you have on paper is usable but not as good as the orriginal (you can't make any changes).
Use PS3 Media Server. It converts .mkv to .mpg as you play it over the network and does not touch the orriginal files.
exactly those tools will crash the scene. everyone will have to check the md5 sums now before installing a cfw, because you can never know if you have a fake firmware or the original one from like hermes, kakaroto or who ever.
i dislike those tools, they don't help, they only flood the scene with 0skill cfw's without need of existing.
