Custom Firmware Maker v1.1b for PS3 is Now Available

Category: PS3 Hacks & JailBreak  By: PS3 News - (ps3.gx-mod.com)
Tags: custom firmware maker ps3 custom firmware maker ps3 cfw maker ps3cfw maker v1.1b

125w ago - As a follow-up to his previous work, this weekend zouzzz has made available Custom Firmware Maker v1.1b for PS3 followed by v1.2b and 1.3 which allow users to create their own CFW for the PlayStation 3.

Download: Custom Firmware Maker v1.1b for PS3 / Custom Firmware Maker v1.2b for PS3 / Custom Firmware Maker v1.3 for PS3

Version 1.3 includes the following updates:

New / fixed:

  • Fixed problem creating the Wutangrza LV1/LV2 Peek And Poke Fw.
  • .NET Framework Version 4 is required.

As this is an update of the executable, if you do not have all the files from previous versions, you must download the archive of 1.2b and simply replace the executable with that from the archive 1.3.

To quote, roughly translated from French: Zouzzz proposes a new version of its utility that lets you create a firmware based on 3.55 official with either changes in CFW Wutangrza, Kmeaw, Waninkoko peek and poke.

Features:

  • Download the official 3.55 fw
  • Creating different custom firmwares
  • Verification (after downloading and creation) of the MD5sum

New / fixed:

  • Addition of bspatch.exe that prevented the integration of patches
  • .NET Framework Version 4 is required

Yeah that's what I thought, That's a 3.5" drive and there's no way it fits inside your PS3.

I am all for better support for external media as i am still running on 3.41 with a ps3break dongle (i know i need to come into the new dawn of cfw's )

speaking of which can anyone tell me if all my games in their current locations will be seen by the cfw and multiman , at present i am using backup manager 2 and open manager - like i said i am stuck in a dark place with not being able to update my dongle but with the many cfw's out at the min i am hoping to join the race again

Thanks in advance

he probably has a sata extended cable which he can use to connect a physically bigger hdd to the ps3. the bigger hdd would just sit outside of the ps3 very close to it for the extended cable to reach the internal sata port. a while ago a saw one ps3 which was connected to a 5tb raid via an extended cable connected to the ps3's internal sata port. the 5tb raid was in an external enclosure with it's own dedicated raid card which connected all the drives to one external sata port.

3 - Installed Multiman 1.13.01 and installed multman 1.13.02 update via USB.
4 - Done!!!

That's it!! Simple and it's working fine for me!!!

But remember: Check the model of your PS3, and when updating to Kmeaw FW do it in Recovery Mode!!! This is a must, ok??

Thanks a lot. I'll give it a shot.
