111w ago - Following up on Rogero 4.30 v2.03, today I have a MCLOW Minimum Rogero 4.30 v2.03 PS3 CFW Mod v0.07 demo video followed by v0.08 to share!

Below are the complete details, as follows:

Download: [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror)

ROGERO 4.30 v2.03-MCLOW MOD v0.07

WHAT this mod does:

  • Pictures modded to Data (psp\minisgames, memorycardutility, ps3gamedata, ps3saves, vitadata & xmbm+datamanager)
  • Music modded to Packages (xmbm+ package install manager)
  • Video modded to Multimedia (xmbm+ multimedia manger)
  • TV modded to PSX (playstation one games)
  • Game modded to PS3(Disc and APP\home)
  • Network modded to Homebrew (all games+homebrew)
  • PSN sorted (signin, trophy, shop, plus, remote, browser, xmbm+downloadmanager)
  • Added new bigger wave
  • Added new health screen
  • Added new longer gameboot

NOTES:

  • Only tested on ROGERO 4.30 v2.03

PROBLEMS (need to be fixed):

  • The xmbm+ install manager isn't working right- you can delete pkgs but u cant see them under install? --> (but normal rogero installer still is working!)
  • If you want to exit memorycardutility it hangs ---> (you can move saves etc. it just hangs if you want to go back)
  • icons need to be fixed for PICTURES, MUSIC, VIDEO, TV & NETWORK
  • PS1 games are shown under psx section & Homebrew (but it only should in psx section)

HOW TO INSTALL:

1- Make a back up from dev_blind & keep on a safe place!!!
2- Install the newest install_package.pkg from multiman!
3- Start install_packages from xmb!
4- When the the package installer has started up do nothing just leave it running!!!
5- On your pc run ur ftp program and
6- Copy xmbmanpls folder to hdd0:\game\
7- Copy resources folder to dev_blind:\vsh
8- Go back to ps3 and triangle
9- Now you should see the modded XMB

OPTIONAL:

10- if you want showtime under mutlimedia just install showtime.pkg

LOOKING FORWARD to find a couple guys to help me for the final release! there's not much left to do but i'm very new to this and i don't know very much about xml programming and stuff... i'm really having problems to categorize between PSN\PS3 and PS1 and homebrew...

The final version should be like this:

  • All games except homebrew and psx from HOMEBREW back to PS3
  • Homebrew only should show homebrew then!
  • New PS3 section should only show PSN and PS3 games NO PSX GAMES

I'm also looking for somebody who can help me make a PKG installer for the theme?

Yeah right, fix the service mode, use the jaicrab + OFW355 to downgrade. If you can not, do with total hardisc PS3 format on your pc. thanks

change the target_id of the ps3, that will literally change the PS3's region coding, in reality, PS3 bluray player is regionless and it reads any discs regardless what region the BD/DVD movie is, the only one stopping it is the software.

Also you can just use multiman to temporarily change the blu-ray video region into something what you like until you restart your ps3, this will let you play bd movies without any further complicated software modifications.

I have tried changing the Blu-ray region through Multiman but it doesn't appear to work! I use to use the LV2 patcher method! Anything I am doing wrong guys?

Following up on his Rogero CEX 4.46 v1.01 PS3 CFW release, today PlayStation 3 developer Rogero (with help from Swizzy) has made available PS3 Flash Tool v1.00 with details below.

Download: [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror) / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror #2) / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror #3) / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror #4) / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror #5) / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror #6) / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror #7) / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror #8) / [Register or Login to view links] (Mirror #9)

To quote: This Tool is Swizzy's "PS3 Dump checker" merged with "PS3 Flash Auto Patcher" .

This is an "All in One" Tool now, it will do both the verification of vital Data and the Patching of the Nor/Nand Image.

It will replace Ps3 Flash Auto Patcher v4.46a from now on.

Credits to my friend "Swizzy" the well known coder for his many Tools in the Xbox360 scene

How to use:

Drag and Drop any PS3 Nor or Interleaved NAND Dump onto the "PS3_Flash_Tool_v1.0.exe" it will verify the dump, detects its type and patch it accordingly with Rogero CEX_4.46 patches, all this in less then 2 seconds.

v1.00 (initial release)

  • Merged Swizzy's PS3DumpChecker Tool with Rogero's AutoPatcher v4.46
  • Both NOR and Nand (Interleaved) Flash Dumps are supported.
  • Compatible with Win7/8 and windows XP.
  • Easy operation, just Drag and Drop the Dump over "PS3_Flash_Tool_v1.0.exe".
  • The dump will be checked to verify all sections are valid.
  • When a Dump is checked and found Valid it will Proceed to Patch it.
  • It has 2 operation Modes: Auto and Normal (can be toggled with included Registry Files). Auto Mode: will check the dump and if found valid it will patch it automatically (all in less then 2 seconds). Normal Mode: will check the dump and if found valid it will ask if you want to patch it.
