Besides from performing the CEX/DEX EID0 and LV2 Kernel Swapping it is also an FTP server and is packed with a bunch of other useful tools.

SYSTEM

SYSTEM INFORMATION:
Displays Firmware version, Toolbox version, IP address, current LV2 Kernel and Target ID type and free HDD space.

QUIT:
Quits Toolbox and returns you to PS3 XMB.
RESTART SYSTEM:

Perform either a Full or Soft reboot od the PS3 system.
Soft (LV2 Reboot Only)

Full (On/Off Cycle)
BOOT OTHEROS:

Boot OtherOS with either your currently selected LV1 patches or easily apply ALL LV1 patches and boot.
Boot (LV1 Patches: Apply All)

Boot (LV1 Patches: Use current)
TURN OFF SYSTEM:

Shut down your PS3.

SELECTOR (REBUG FIRMWARE ONLY)

SYSTEM MODE:
Switches between NORMAL and REBUG mode

NORMAL mode which uses the DEBUG XMB is the default mode after installing Rebug.

REBUG mode sets the PS3 to the latest available version spoof (updatable in the future) and allows swapping between RETAIL and DEBUG XMB.
XMB OPERATION MODE:

This option only works in REBUG mode and lets you select either the RETAIL or DEBUG XMB.
DEBUG MENU TYPE:

Gives you the choice of the CEX QA (retail) or DEX (debug) Debug Settings menu.

LV1 PATCHES

A collection of LV1 patches that can be used for better compatibility with some PS3 tools. Any combination of these patches can be applied before booting OtherOS.

CEX/DEX (REX EDITION ONLY)

SWAP LV2 KERNEL:
Swaps between CEX and DEX LV2 Kernel. This option will only work if your Target ID is set to DEX
REWRITE TARGET ID IN FLASH:

This option requires you have a valid NOR/NAND dump named correctly on dev_usb000. Use EXPORT FLASH TO FILE function found in the UTILITIES menu to dump your NOR/NAND to dev_usb000 and then use c2d.exe to convert your dump to DEX.

Rename your original CEX dump to CEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN (16mb) or CEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN (239mb or 256mb)
Rename your converted DEX dump to DEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN (16mb) or DEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN (239mb or 256mb)

Once you have prepared your NOR/NAND dumps place them on a USB device and connect it to dev_usb000.

Now that you have your valid dumps named properly and connected to dev_usb000 it is a simple as selecting the option and following the onscreen prompts. Takes less than 10secs once you have your dumps prepared.

UTILITIES

CREATE PACKAGES FOLDER ON PS3:

Create /dev_hdd0/packages folder or your PS3 to be used with Package Manager.

Model Tested from various Scene User's (USE AT YOUR OWN RISK APPLIES EVEN IF YOU MODEL IS LISTED)

Models Tested

  • CECH2001A (No0bZiLLa)
  • CECHL-01A (atreyu187)
  • CECH-2501A (atreyu187)

Atreyu187 tested on CECHL-01A NOR flash phat and CECH-25001A both working. I suggest using multiMAN only to spoof fimrware for PSN access. I have been using that and it is a confirmed working spoof and PSN access. PSNpatch is also working in CEX mode but not spoofing, Cobra extentions work as well. Converts to DEX fine but most important NO BRICK.

Confirmed in CEX and DEX mode on CECH-25001A model PS3 slim & CECHL-01 phat both NOR flash. PS1, PS2 (CEX only), PSP (CEX only), PS3, and DVD/BD (CEX Only) ISO all confirmed working as well as all plugins.

Only ISO's were used and webMAN mod 1.29.3 in CEX mode with 4.46 Cobra patched EMU's swapped for ReBug EMU files.

CEX

  • PS3 = Working just fine loaded via webMAN
  • PS2 = Working just fine loaded via webMAN **
  • PS1 = Working just fine loaded via webMAN **
  • PSP = Working just fine loaded via webMAN using my PSP Remasters Launcher & Minis **
  • DVD = Working just fine loaded via webMAN
  • BD = Working just fine loaded via webMAN
Plugins = In-game screenshot/music, webMAN, PSN Patch all working as they should
  • CeDEX Swap = DEX mode working great, see below.
  • Cobra CFW Tools = All sections working as should

** Fixed (haxxen's original Test PUP) by swapping the firmware emulator of PS1/PS2/PSP from Rogero/Cobra 4.46.

Only ISO's were used and webMAN mod 1.29.3 in FULL DEX mode with 4.46 Cobra patched EMU's swapped for ReBug EMU files.

DEX

  • PS2 = Unsupported data
  • PSP = Loads and then black screen nothing happens. Must power off manually system becomes unresponsive.
  • PS1 = Fully working
  • Plugins = Fully working
  • DVD/BD = Loads and then black screen nothing happens. Must power off manually system becomes unresponsive.
  • PS3 = Fully working
  • ProDG = Fully working

Note: Not all DEX features have been tested

OtherOS

  • OtherOS Support = Fully Working

still no spoofer 4.50 for rebug 4.21.2 rex edition...
a little late... i won't provide any spoofers, but i can tell you how to do it on your own.

this is only for 4.21:

you have have to decrypt vsh.self.swp and vsh.self.cexsp and change two offsets. in vsh.self.swp go to offset 0x65BBA0 where you have to change the image version, and at offset 0x671B90 the firmware version.

in vsh.self.cexsp go to offset 0x653890 to change cex image version and at offset 0x6695B8 cex firmware version. of course on both you have to use the same values.

besides patching vsh selfs you have to rename the index.dat from the ofw version you want to spoof to, to index.dat.swp, and version.txt to version.txt.swp and copy them over to dev_flash/vsh/etc. this is done in normal mode and not in rebug mode or you replace files in pup itself.
