56w ago - Following up on the last update, today Chinese PlayStation 3 developer ccregame has made available ReActPSN v2.24 Beta which now includes PS2 Game ISO (PS2 Classics) encoding support followed by Beta 1 below.

Download: ReActPSN2.24b(PS2).7z (612 KB) / Importing PS2 ISO with ReActPSN v2.24 Beta Guide / ReActPSN2.24b1(PS2).7z (665 Kb)

To quote, roughly translated: ReActPSN v2.24 beta import PS2 ISO brief description

1. Click pkg.bat this category to to generate 9 PS2 container installation files under Windows. The the PKG directory under the pkg files are copied to the root directory of U. The RPS200001 SOLT 1.pkg must be copied and installed on the PS3, the remaining eight optional installation.

2. Copy exdata directory to the root directory of U and authorized with reActPSN install, simply install once.

3. PS3 insert U disk, run reActPSN v2.4, and continue to hold down the X button for about 6 seconds, automatically generate some directory, and can also be used to create the following directory manually.

4. PS2 several ISO file is copied to the U disk / reActPSN/ISOPS2 directory. PS3 insert U disk, the run reActPSN v2.4, and continue to hold down the X button for about 6 seconds, the patient returns to the XMB complete the import. Files larger than 4G copyed under / dev_hdd0/ISOPS2 directory, do not insert U disk, run reActPSN v2.4 hold down the X button to import.

According to the PKG the number you just installed, can import up to 9 ISO. Support the the Chinese ISO file name. Supports importing to the PS2 game, before the file name (1-9), if not () are attributed to the file name order import.

For example, (1) True Contra iso (2) chess master. Iso imported into SOLT 1 and SOLT. Usually only need to perform step 4, you can import the PS2 ISO, run PS2 games will not repeat the import has to import the same game, saving time.

Unfortunately, the PS2 game can not be modified prompt displayed in XMB icon PS3 PSN games they can. Delete after import old PS2 save the data, after the first run, manage to save data (PS2) at only real PS2 TITLE ID and ISO file name.

A function, automatically more than one ISO file generation making PKG install package the only game ID (PS2ID), can also display UTF8 Chinese, have been substantially completed, but taking into account the slower on the PS3, they will not provide.

This is just a beta version, welcome feedback problem. About the function of crack EDAT4.0 well-busy recently, less testing, consider authorizing the perfect support for all PSN content, this version does not support.

PS2 class can only be run in 4.21CFW or more and support machine reActPSN authorized. The U disk import PS2 ISO speed is probably about 7M / s, about 3 minutes and 40 seconds to import a 1.3g's game. Black import or run game trial download address, please inform.

If the same game has been imported, it does not repeat the import to save time.
  • Unfortunately, the new PS2 game does not displays in XMB icon once a game is modified. Delete older PS2 saved data after importing, in Manage saved data (PS2) to shows the real PS2 TITLE ID and the file name of the ISO.

It's just a beta1 version, feedback of problems are welcome.

Finally, from stevorkz: REACTPSN IN 4 EASY STEPS (for you and anyone else having ReActPSN issues)

1. Place your .rap in a folder called "exdata" on a usb flash drive
2. put the flash drive in the usb port closest to the blu ray drive
3. create a user on ps3 called "aa" and log into it
4. while logged into "aa", run reactpsn on the ps3

Done. After that, reactpsn will throw you into your normal profile and you will not have to do that again. Anyone saying this program is too complicated they shouldn't bother with ps2 games for now because it really is as easy as that. If you followed these steps and you still arent getting anywhere then you are using the wrong .rap.

Hi, First post !!!

I have downloaded some DLC (WWE SvR 2011) on my OFW PS3. I then did a Data Transfer to my CFW PS3.

Now the DLC has transferred but obviously can't be used until activated. Is this possible using ReAct 2.0 ?

No offence to the OP but the steps in the original post are confusing. I tried following the instructions and installing the patched VSH.SELF (I'm on REBUG 3.55.2 Update 4) but after replacing the VSH.SELF file my PS3 just red screened.

So I simply re-installed the CFW.

I'm no good at writing tutorials but I'll give it a go shortly and write it step by step of how I got it working.

Red Screen is when a important file is corrupt. It comes up with a red screen saying something about files are corrupt and needs to be taken to a technician. Just goto recovery menu and reinstall CFW. (Power off, hold power till it turns off then hold power again till the 4 beeps. Then the bottom option, Install firmware) Just make sure there is no disc in the drive and you choose the right firmware.

Yea the act.dat no longer gets deleted so all PSN games and DLC will work after reboot without any need for other things.

This is my first tutorial.

This is what I did and it works. ACT.DAT no longer gets deleted so all PSN and DLC now work without the need to keep on replacing the act.dat. I haven't tested this with a 2nd hand DLC yet but it says it will work. Will test that another time.

I'll do my best to make this understandable.

1, install devblind (or Multiman)
2, run devblind or multiman
3, run FTP or again multiman
4, goto /dev_blind/vsh/module/ and copy VSH.SELF to your PC
5, BACKUP VSH.SELF somewhere else. (I actually rename it on the PS3. VSH.SELF.BACKUP)
6, install CYGWIN on PC Make sure you have the PS3tools installed as well.
7, in CYGWIN run this "unself vsh.self vsh.self.elf"
8, rename the original VSH.SELF to VSH.SELF.0
9, with a HEX editor open VSH.SELF.ELF
10, I'm guessing your on 3.55 retail so do this.
11, find "4b cf 5b 45" change to "38 60 00 00"
12, find "48 31 b4 65" change to "38 60 00 00"
13, save file
14, in CYGWIN run this "self_rebuilder vsh.self.elf vsh.self vsh.self.0"
15, back to the FTP, copy that new VSH.SELF back to PS3
16, make sure ACT.DAT is in the correct directory. /HDD0/home/00000001\exdata
17, cross fingers and reboot PS3

If it does red screen all that means is the VSH.SELF is corrupt and you probably did something wrong. Just goto recovery menu and reinstall firmware. (turn off PS3, hold power till it turns off, hold power again till the 4 beeps, bottom option INSTALL FIRMWARE)

I got most of this from the first post but tried to make it easier to understand. Thats to the reActPSN devs and whoever else helped with it and the app.

I red screened using the premodified VSH.self so I did it this way and it worked.

Red screen is when there is an error like when you change the vsh.self or another important file. I'm guessing I used the wrong one. I have a firmware I made via MFW and thought 3.55KM is the one I should use but its not.

I'm after a way to stop the act.dat from deleting on reboot...
Hi spunkybunny, I really need your help since I am in the similar situation. I have backup my act.dat before I move onto a new hdd, and as I expected, the act.dat got deleted on every boot of PS3 (maybe checksum of new hdd and old hdd not matching something in the ps3 sys? I am not a pro so I don't understand why this is happening)

From your post, I see that you successfully made it to not getting delete on every boot. Can you show me step by step how you've done that? The tutorial in the first post is very confusing and have multiple points/step repeating themselves. I don't seems to understand them (maybe because it's translation from chinese?). I have basic knowledge of file copying and devblind usage in multiman, so hopefully you can help me to go through your steps. I have 3.55 kmeaw cfw though.

Also,
[LIST=1]
[*]What do you mean by red screen? Will that brick the ps3? Where does the red screen happen? Is that recoverable?
[*]As I stated I am using 3.55 kmeaw cfw, so do I need to edit the vsh.self manually? If so, how? (text editor?)

So I recommend if you have a MFW then edit the vsh.self manually like it says on the first p.
How i can edit this file manually (which program). I have my act.dat can i put it in the exdata folder, edit the vsh.self and after reboot the act.dat is in the exdata folder forever?

After some tests and red screens i made it. I used multiman with the dev_dlind option, activate it copy vsh.self in the right place and deactivate dev_blind option in multiman then copy the act.dat in the exdata folder. Reboot and the Psn Games still activ.Expect for a few games are demos now. From ca. 70 psn games are 6 games demos.
