IcEmAn (aka
IcEmAn2012) has made available PS3 XMB CFW Mod v2 and XMB CFW Mod v2 for CEX / DEX consoles with details below.

CFW XMB MOD v2
1. Install any CFW (3.55) you like
2. Install XMB_CFW_MOD_v2.pkg
3. Activate dev_blind
4. Copy the content of: hdd0/game/XMBCFWMOD/USRDIR/dev_flash to "FLASH"
5. Copy the content of: hdd0/game/XMBCFWMOD/USRDIR/dev_hdd0 to "internal hard drive" by using a file manager (multiMAN) or FTP
6. Disable dev_blind and start the console again
Notes:
- If an incorrect use of the flash memory, a brick-risk for the console! Under the category CB (PlayStation Category) can no longer be installed (CB is now 1p).
- UPDATE_2.2_(IcE-rX_Media_Manager) can now be installed on all CFW's, but not the normal XMBM+ (must be cleared before).

Does anyone else have Iris manager make their PS3 go nuts? I'm on Rebug Rex 4.30.2 and it causes the PS3 to apparently heat up so badly the yellow lig...
it just a lot safer and easier to wait until someone else does the resigning and a lot of others test it before we put it near our ps3s.

sorry if questions are stupid. I'm just trying to make sense of it. Could you please explain what this is doing. Am I right is assuming 3.55 is still the only version for installing homebrew etc?
All I want to do is play blurays, install homebrew and still play the odd latest legal games such as darksiders 2. I don't even care about piracy. Is this too much to hope for at this point in time?
