32w ago - Several days ago we received word from a PlayStation 3 developer known as HDMadness of his PS3 ErmaC 4.30 CFW v1.0 Custom Firmware, which has since been tested, updated again and retested and now on version 1.1 with several bug fixes and Cinavia protection disabled for those with PS3 Hardware Flashers only.
Warning: Although tested, it is still advised that only users with PlayStation 3 Hardware Flashers attempt to install this PS3 Custom Firmware or you may end up bricking your PS3 console!
Also below is a new video demonstrating PS3 CFW 4.30 ErmaC running some PS3 games:

i dehashed anyways (again, better safe than sorry.)
dunno about that old version of MM, but you should be able to update from right inside of it. as for kmeaw, you might have to check around a bit for that. i fortunately still had my copy of it on my HDD.
wow thanks for the indepth answer.. cant thank you enough.. i followed the link you sent but it says i need to dehash and use QA if i downgraded but i have never been above 3.55 do i still need to do it?
also do you have a link for the new multiman for 3.55kmeaw?
couple of things. first, yes, i would get at least v4.xx of multiman. second, make sure you make 3-4 NAND/NOR dumps, and verify file sizes (tuck it away on your pc HDD after).
next, this guide should help with qa_toggle and dehashing (recommended)
3rd, from what i've been told, DO NOT have a disc in the system when trying to update the firmware, since it will wanna pul the firmware from the disc first (don't know if it holds true or not though, but better safe than sorry) and last, make sure you install from recovery mode.
I've been using Ermac for a few days now, and everything seems to be running smooth. On a side note, is sony still dropping the ban hammer on people with 4.30CFW?
oh, i almost forgot. to make a NAND/NOR backup, go to mmOS, select any file, then hit (start? whatever it is for the hex viewer, it says at the bottom), select no twice, and then yes to backup FLASH.
