PS3 CFW 4.30 DEX by MiralaTijera for OFW & CEX2DEX Converts Out

80w ago - Following up on his recent work, today Spanish PlayStation 3 developer MiralaTijera has released PS3 CFW 4.30 DEX for both PS3 Debug OFW and CEX2DEX converted consoles.

To quote (via pastie.org/private/emwfwuoizwvq8tlirp6a): PROCEDURE CFW CREATION IS MIRALATIJERA same as CEX, we use DELTA PATCHER and the original file chose the PS3UPDAT.430.001 ORIGINAL AND THE PATCH THE FILE ATTACHED you create an installable ANY cfw 4.30 dex without bricking.

  • deleted lv1ldr protection against consoles converted "unofficially"
  • lv2 peek / poke
  • lv1 peek / poke
  • Integrated and Iris Payload Manager 2.21
  • spu_iso_rvk_pkg reinstall cfw patched for successful
  • spu_token_processor (qa flag activated if you had installed since 3.55) -

I add more things tomorrow, for now is basic but is a cfw

Mini Tuorial:

1. Download the DeltaPatcher from here: [Register or Login to view links]

2. Dowload the OFW from here: [Register or Login to view links]

3. Open the Deltapatch.exe

A. On original file: chose the PS3UPDAT.430.001
B. On xDelta patch: dex430cfw.xdelta
C. Check on both option: Keep original and checksum

4. Now press apply patch and now the new CFW will be create with not brick. Enjoy!!!

Finally, from Cyberskunk: First, nice job Miralatijera. Second, It is true 4.30 REX has been ready for a few weeks now and it does use a patched 430 lv1ldr instead of the 421 lv1ldr that does not have the check. I read a single sentence on ps3 dev wiki that stated there was a check in lv1ldr with no other details about it.. so i had a look.. found it.. patched it.. Job done. So guess i would have to give credit to the person that shared that snippet of info to work from.. Thanks

This sounds pretty awesome. I was just saying yesterday to my girlfriend how I wish we could run all DLC like on a jtag/rgh 360. Excited to see how this develops during the next few days or so. Now all we need is the ability to run PSP games on the PS3.

Its just too much awesome...

So, now I can play good old Mushroom Wars and its DLC without any fix...

Would love to see ROGERO integrate this awesome feature within his firmware...

Is this Option of ReActPSN RIF license bypass which allows users to run all PS3 DLC, PS1, PS2 Classic and PSN content that previously required RIF files without ReActPSN now in ReactPSN 2.24b ?

Following up on PS3 4.40 CFW and the PS3 v3.1.0 Core Update, today Spanish PlayStation 3 developer MiralaTijera has updated his PS3 4.40 CFW to include a ReActPSN RIF license bypass which allows users to run all PS3 DLC, PS1, PS2 Classic and PSN content that previously required RIF files without ReActPSN now.

This does have some good stuff but the need to use a USB is something we are really not interested in.. We have played around with it before we released the first REX but decided against it and instead to try to achieve the same results without the need for it.

No DEX yet but having a look at the current released 4.40 cfw's we decided to add a new member to REBUG family.. LITE EDITION.

Finally, from haz367: Not the fasted way to mount but at least it works smooth, made a typo earlier about "lv2kernel" and TargetID" reporting DEX after loading "lv2ker.self" ofcourse it's only Lv2kernel = DEX and TargetID = CEX, one could flash the c2d converted dexflash.bin using the "flash" FLAG but that's a bit silly cuse there's a 4.30DEX p/p anyway.. anotherlv2 FLAG/lv2ker.self - stream game from PC test, nvm the crappy phonevideo.
