For those who whish to remain on good old stable CFW 3.55 , DUPLEX brings EBOOT Patches for some of the games recently released.
Replace files in your game dir with the ones from our archive. The file model_shader_pack.sdat goes into usrdir/shader/ .
Notes:
DUPLEX supports valid scene releases only, and no region dupes. DUPLEX will not patch updates for you because we think the base retail version is enough to test out a game.

Our initial release was a bad rip (still encrypted files), then our repack seemed ok for a while, but then it turned out, that it freezes in story mode at a certain stage in NY (and maybe elsewhere) due to 5 corrupt files
Well, since DUPLEX cares about quality we have done a 3rd attempt to get this game out properly - what a nightmare! So this time we ripped it from a different original and with different consoles and crc compared several rips So this one should be working alright and if not we can't help it either A fix would have been 2gb - so we decided to pre the entire game again
We've tested it with our upcoming Eboot Patch on CFW 3.55

The Dupe boyz come to our rescue once again! Haven't had a chance to test it yet, however. I'll report back soon, unless someone wants to beat me to it.
After swapping back in my original 160GB HDD, I was still getting the 8002F281 error. I ended up having to do a full PS3 Reset and reformat of the 160...
I'm baffled with PS1 games fixes. Some don't have .pkg extensions. By mistake or what to do with them?

So, those fixes with no .pkg extension move to that folder and install included game .pkg.
hm, it's a copy/paste issue then; on the site, they have the same download link, but different games. I'll try to see what's up.
Something else bugs me. Some fixes have .pkg extensions and some dont at all. Just file. On Russian site said to put those games fixes to /dev_hdd0/home/00000001/exdata/ with MM. So, those .pkg files also or what?
that, idk, I don't think the fix is a .pkg. just place the fix in that one folder and play with the included .pkg.
what is happening when running a pkg that makes it work? is it not just copying the files to the ps3 or is something else going on that makes it work? i have googled and search forums but can not find the answer so any help would be appreciated. also, how can i repackage the folder containing both dlcs into on package so that it will work on the usa version? thanks.
