LA Noire Now Working with Patch on PS3 Custom Firmware

Sponsored Links
187w ago - Similar to Brink for PS3, LA Noire now has a retail update patch v1.01 built with Sony's 3.5 SDK that allows users to run the PlayStation 3 game on PS3 Custom Firmware including Kmeaw and Rebug CFW via MultiMAN.

Finally, some notes on getting the title to run on PS3 Custom Firmware are below, as follows:

The patch was designed for the EUR version of the game. Use the param.sfo to change the USA version before installing the patch.

How to:

  • Change the PARAM.sfo of LA Noire to BLES00933 instead of that orginal BLUS.
  • Change the PARAM.sfo of LA Noire required fw to 3.55 (or let MM do it).
  • Save the file.
  • Overwrite the original param.sfo with the one provided.
  • Install the pkg update patch.
  • Run LA Noire on multiman! Then play the game.
  • Tested on 3.55 Kmeaw's from internal, the game can be started discless.

Note: If your PS3 controller isn't working after you get to play, exit game and run it without sel+x on multiman. Select+x is only needed for it to install. Now your controller should work.

bring up sfo editor, the one you have.. hit load button.. search for it on your computer directory and highlight it.. press ok it opens..

change what you want to change then hit save tab.. job done. is this what you mean.. i'm not quite sure what your asking.

how were you able to load the param.sfo from BLUS30554 to BLES00933? I don't see it anywhere on the SFO editor (ps3sfoedit). I do notice that on initial opening, it says this program is still in beta mode and therefore will not function correctly. Am I using the incorrect ps3sfoedit?

I have everything set up. LA Noire is ripped via a bluray in my internal hard drive. I already have the .pkg file given as well as updated via MM.

I can't see to figure out how to change the PARAM.SFO.

Thanks.

Use MultiMAN Manager, and it will edit the Param.SFO if necessary before playing the game.

Hello,

I can't seem to figure this out. I have the game ripped internal HD. I got FileZilla and ps3FTP running and CFW 3.55.

How can I change the PARAM.SFO to match the one that is needed?

It's right in the PS3 Sticky at the top of all pages under "PS3 EBOOT.BIN File Links"
