To quote, roughly translated: What's New in version 2.90:

  • Added support CFW 4.55 (tested on Habib v1.0) + 'Mamba'

I have tried several things and seems to work well, although it has been a little mess with both offset changed site (It has been a good marathon, carrying the payload between Iris and Mamba)

The new sm.self necessary, you have it here: [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links]

The source of 'Mamba' code adapted with minimal compiler for PS3 used to compile (then else, use my build environment PSL1GHT, well known), can be downloaded from this link: [Register or Login to view links]

Please remember to publicize the changes and / or additions you make, so that everyone can work from that base.

PS: From now on I am again semi-retired Tomorrow I start studying and we'll see how long I can spend on other things ... I will try to follow the thread, but ...

IMPORTANT: After installing the PKG, restart the PS3, if Iris Manager was loaded before.

What's New in version 2.90B:

  • Fixes a small bug in CFW 4.55 to win in disk access permissions.

Changelog 2.90-1:

  • Added the changes from official Iris Manager 2.90: Now IRISMAN should support 4.55 CEX and Mamba.
  • Added option to hide the Showtime / Internet Browser icons (Press Start, select Change GUI Mode and press L1 or R1)
  • Internal changes to the source code: Added variable names to flags.
  • Updated offsets to spoof IDPS on 4.55

Changelog 2.90-2:

  • Changed PKG download folder from /dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/PKG to /dev_hdd0/packages (Update packages now can be installed with Rebug’s Package Manager or XMBM+)
  • The option to hide Showtime / Internet Browser icons is now persistent.
  • Added option to navigate pictures in full screen mode in the File Manager.

Is this a better option than multiman now?

I keep seeing updates for GameSonic and Iris managers but cant find the latest multiman and haven't seen a front page release for ages.

Can anyone link me and/or explain the new advantages of Iris manager... looks like I have been out of the loop a while now I see ISO is supported.

Last update I had was the last Roger CFW.

Cheers

Following up on the previous revision, today PlayStation 3 developers Estwald and D_Skywalk have updated the PS3 backup game manager known as Iris Manager to version 2.80 followed by IrisMAN v2.80-1 and v2.80-2 Mod from aldostools with the changes detailed below.

Download: [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links]

To quote, roughly translated: What's New in version 2.80:

  • The ISOs now will take the title name from PARAM.SFO (so far took the file name) and also will show the background image of the game in the Options dialog.
  • New support for PSX Cobra / Mamba from "Disc-Less Payload" : works with the same versatility as the old, but adding PSX support PSX for NTFS/EXTx units, thanks to the new plugin that allows you to change up to 8 ISOs of PSX ( unplugging / replugging the device NTFS / EXTx in the latter case to change iso)
  • Changes for PSX in Cobra / Mamba "Disc-Less Payload" mode with respect to the old are:

    1) All Games now use the plugin by default. The games stored in /dev_hdd0 and /dev_usb00x can use the old emulation (PSX payload) selecting "old_emu" or "old_netemu".

    2) To eject/insert a disc, the changes are as follows (remember that only from the Cobra/Mamba plugin in "Disc-Less Payload" mode):

  • If the game is in NTFS / EXTx, you must unplug / plug the USB device.
  • If the game is stored in /dev_hdd0 or /dev_usb00x, it will use the first device found with a FAT partition (device '/dev_usb' ) and if this fails, then it will use the first non-FAT USB device connected (NTFS / EXTx for example). Remember that unpluging the LED will flash.

    3) If the ps1_rom.bin is used and L2 button is held down on the pad when the game is launched, it is also possible to run the rom from NTFS / EXTx without a CD to copy/delete the data from the memory card that is using the game (this is useful for handling Internal_MC.VM1). You must exit from the emulator after finishing, as the old PSX payload used.

    4) Leaving the PSX emulator it is possible to launch the game from the disc, but in doing so, the video will be set to PAL/NTSC depending on the region of your system, and you must select the memory card from the emulator and keep in mind that if the game does not belong to your region, it will freeze.

Changelog 2.80-1:

  • Added changes from official Iris Manager 2.80
  • Added "Download Latest webMAN" under Tools menu (Cobra CFW only)

Changelog 2.80-2:

  • Increased the font size in File Manager
  • Added display of the path for the selected game to Options menu
