182w ago - Gabe Newell announced something at E3 2010 even he didn't expect to ever say, and that is that "Portal 2" will be coming to the PS3.
He jokingly said that "Kevin Butler was introduced to him as the VP of sharpening things." He went on to say "When the PlayStation 3 was introduced, I was the one of the platform's biggest critics," said Newell.
"However, Sony has proved that the PlayStation 3 is the most open platform of all the current generation consoles and has worked extremely hard to make the platform the most desirable for consumers and developers.
"As such, we are delighted to announce Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 and believe the Steamworks support included will make it the best console version of the game." This means that Xbox has lost another exclusive that was once never thought to leave.

This I do not understand at all. Didn't Gabe unwillingly state that the PS3 was a piece of crap to develop for in the past? Now he's bringing steam service and even the sequel to Portal to the PS3. tsk tsk tsk... Hypocrites..
this is absolutely incredible news, but I don't know if you understand what he meant by steamworks support.
it means that it will update JUST LIKE the PC version. And unlike left 4 dead 1 & 2 for 360 you won't need to go to the store to get content packs, they will all be updated on your PS3 like normal steam games on your computer.
I'm betting my life we'll have left 4 dead on PS3 sometime soon too.
