182w ago - As a follow-up to our earlier
article on news coming out of Sony's Media/Investor Conference is the following:
Sony intends to deliver PS3 3D Gaming in 2010 via Firmware Update.
According to the image from their
Slide Presentation [PDF] below, 3D games will be released in line with Sony's 3D strategy and all PlayStation 3 consoles will be upgradeable via PS3 Firmware update to support 3D.
Needless to say, this should come as no surprise as several
PS3 3D demos have been available over the last few months, including those from
TGS 2009.
I don't know if a 120 or 240 Hz will be necessary, but I doubt that Sony would implement a feature most of its user can't use.

Let's just hope it's also compatible with the cheap 3D glasses you can get, like with the 3D G-force game.
Just when I though I needed another TV hehehe, never mind, it's a funny mistake
I was thinking that the "slide"? says "All PS3 units will be firmware upgradeable to 3D" ... but what about the TV's, are prepared to support this technology? or will we be forced to buy another one? because if so, it would really piss me off 'cause I just buy a new HD TV and I'm no willing to get a new one unitll that one breaks or something
Anyway, I just hope that "firmware upgradeable" apply to TV's as well.
lol my bad good catch. I ment Hz.
