Sony Apologizes for OtherOS Removal due to PS3 Piracy Concerns

ok I stand corrected then. I knew of exceptions like Pain, but didn't know there were others. (Though I still think Pain takes the award for the worst trophy requirements ever). I based my belief on the fact that Flower was fairly easy to plat on. Even though, still, someone mentioned that the level calculation is off, which could be I'm at 6 I think, so I don't know what it does after 10.

I do know that the cost of the PSN games, even though their trophies (you have shown) are equally as much a PITA, they are far cheaper, making it easier to trophy spam your account. I think a better ultimate/overall calculation would be how many of the games in your trophy list are plat'ed, not ok well this person got 1 silver here, 1 silver there, 1 silver there, so forth and so on; because under that model it's whoever has the most money to spend on games they throw away basically.

Security my butt. When someone hack your junk and breaks it, what do you do? buy another one! Or pay to fix it! More money for Sony ether way!!

I Want a $200 rebate on my PS3. Would I have every used another OS on my PS3, don't know. But it is one of the reasons I bought it.

But i was thinkng about a thing... If i pay for something for example i payed for a laptop, it's mine, so if i want to open it, install a new cpu, maybe changing a gpu with some trick or what else, who can came to me and stop me doing that? Why? That stuff is mine i can do whatever i want. So they are right if they want to disable whatever they want but they can't think that users just hold on without doing nothing.

Anyway psp is hacked and as someone said games stopped to develop (not really). What about wii and xbox360? Seems they are still going good. Even if Software houses likes the unbreakable ps3 they are supporting, maybe even better xbox. So to be honest i would like my ps3 hacked, homebrew and loader and so on. And i don't think that things will change.

You know is quite funny... When people started to dumping kernel and so on, sony said that we couldn't totally hack ps3 with anything. But now they remove a feature, because they understood that they were wrong...

you do relize that the average PSN game = 200 points, and the average plat is around 350 right? and the average retail title is 1,000 + 200 or more for the plat XD just making sure you relize they don't count the same in the least.

but the PSN titles varry as much as retail titles, droplitz for instance...

"play a game for 2 hours without losing" is just plain evil, same with the 50 combo multiplier *you basically got to keep chaining till you make your 50th chain without there being a single glitch/error that stops motion... really just YT it it makes more sense*

I can go on all day, their really no different than any retail title, unless you think bioshock is that much different for instance since you can get all but 27% with relative ease *the last 3 being beat it on ____ difficulty which isnt even hard* or fallout 3, theres nothing hard in fallout 3 XD

what next, removing the ps2 compatibility for the 60gb ps3 ?
